I'm stealing this idea for a new topic from http://www.tapeheads.net/forums.php.
It's very simple. Simply link songs together. You can match a word in the title, or the artist's name. Or, if you're not coming up with a match for the words, you can match a theme. Examples;
Word match -
Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Theme match -
Red Skies At Night - The Fixx
Woman From Tokyo - Deep Purple
You don't have to make the matching words bold, but it helps.
Quoting also helps clear up confusion, when you get to the next the page.
Providing a YouTube link for a song is also a nice gesture, so people can check out the song you're possibly introducing them to for the first time.
As for official rules;
You can't link two songs together without someone else, so no one should be posting twice in a row.
Wait for someone else to post a song.
Let's try to keep the idea of posting our own songs (that we wrote) to a minimum. Once a month should be plenty.
Post a song, artist, YouTube link (optional) and a smilie (optional). No digs at anyone else.
I will referee if we get of track (in extreme instances, only)
I hope this works. The site where I took this from has gone through thousands of songs, five threads that maxxed out the limits of what a topic could reach, and fostered a sense of community (which this place is in dire need of).
