Just after NYE this video circulated on fb I shared it and within a few days it was gone! I have been trying to find out who this re-incarnate of one of my favs is and I finally found out! I am kind of the same and have been considered similarly with Don Henley. I have been covering him for years and just kind of felt like this young man is a kindred spirit. Having said that I really feel like this young man is going places! :D

replied to a craigslist ad yesterday, a band Make Rocket Go is looking for some players.. I am probably not within their age constraints, no reply back, looks like they have had gigs before at The Outland and such..

it's hard to find musicians that can play accompaniment to my originals .. I am surprised at the amount of musicians that can't play any other chords other than major, minors, dominant 7ths, maj. 7ths minor 7ths and sus. 4ths..my tunes have quite a few extended chords such as altered ninth chords ..

Yeah most music these days is pretty dumbed down. Try to keep an open mind. Some of the whippersnappers these days can surprise you!

Dayne

I'm having that problem too. I need a classically trained pianist - theoretically they are thick on the ground. But I can't seem to find one - not one with a desire to create something. It would require realistically, working primarily with my stuff but still - where are they hiding?

I wonder if there are sites / places where those types hang out?
