dayne, as i see it....your "problem" is wasting your time w anyone lacking in scruples, honesty, and the ability to act w dignity and integrity.

i've had more than a few go rounds getting into it w haley, yod, vamp, slacker, etc.....and though these throwdowns were over some serious things that we disagreed upon (and continue to disagree upon).....there was never one time when any of them were anything less than honest as we each tried to get the better of one another.

that earns my respect and i will continue to have polite, and even not so polite discourse w them over things we deem important .....and things not so important.

but, i will not have anything to do w someone who time after time has shown themself to be dishonest...someone who twists another's words to formulate a strategy to win, win, win even if they have to leave their honesty at the door....someone who draws a conclusion (but what in fact is really merely an OPINION)about what the other feels about things and then states his opinion of that person as fact.

someone who states that i hate my country as fact (even it is nothing more than a pathetic and appalling ploy to drag me into action)...that's nothing less than shitbag dishonesty. i see no point in having anything to do w anyone who's so sorely lacking in basic integrity.

Perhaps not in the eyes of men who place a high value on self righteousness. But to the living God it means the difference between acceptance and rejection. Morality was not instituted by men rather it was defined by God. Men hate morality because morality puts limitations on their behavior.

that's a very interesting concept and very well put.

i think the thing that bothers me most about the concept of "judeo/christian values" is that it doesn't acknowledge and recognize that those values are not exclusive to, nor were the invented by jews and christians.

to insuate so is insulting to other religions (and atheists) that hold and held may of the same tenets long before christianity came to be.
