Israel and USA, faithful and true allies as long as I have been alive. Well at least one of them is true, and one of them is faithful, the other shall wear her shame throughout eternity.

Suppose that you had a neighbor that had a son who molested your child and threatened to murder you and your wife if you step outside of your house. You leave your house and go outside and you see your neighbor standing there with a shotgun pointed at your head. You reach for a conceal to protect yourself, as you have been threatened with death, but before you can protect yourself, your other neighbor, your trusted friend who supposedly has your back, aims fires and shoots you in the back. Nice huh? Try this again?

Suppose that you lived in a little country that was threatened by nuclear annihilation. Lets say the country wanting to blast you off the face of the earth has almost achieved what it needs to do just that. To the rescue comes the United States to save its long time friend and allie. Not quite. Instead the snake in the grass that oozes slime with every foot step he takes has decided to attack Israel if she tries to defend herself from the madmen who cut off peoples heads for fun. The madmen that want to nuke Israel. Where is Pravda on this? Hurry Google. Hide or bury this in the deepest depths of your "new truth" search engine. Is it any wonder that we are mocked and scorned world wide? I have more trust in ISIS than I do with this regime. This regime says it wants to protect me, as it strips me of everything that makes me an American.

In the first example with the neighbor, Iran is the next door threatening molester, Israel is the threatened victim, and the trusted back shooting friendly neighbor is the USA.

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back.

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Al-Jarida quoted "well-placed" sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders.

According to the report, “Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army's chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran's nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel's security.”

The sources added that Gantz and his commanders prepared the requested plan and that Israeli fighter jets trained for several weeks in order to make sure the plans would work successfully. Israeli fighter jets reportedly even carried out experimental flights in Iran's airspace after they managed to break through radars.

Brzezinski's idea

Former US diplomat Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for Obama in 2008, called on him to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran. “They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?” said the former national security advisor to former President Jimmy Carter in an interview with the Daily Beast.

“We have to be serious about denying them that right,” he said. “If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a 'Liberty' in reverse.’"

Israel mistakenly attacked the American Liberty ship during the Six-Day War in 1967.

Brzezinski was a top candidate to become an official advisor to President Obama, but he was downgraded after Republican and pro-Israel Democratic charges during the campaign that Brzezinski’s anti-Israel attitude would damage Obama at the polls.

His enthusiasm for President Obama has waned in the past several months. He recently told a London-based newspaper that the United States may be "sliding into a deeper conflict with various segments of the world of Islam ” because of the president’s failure to carry out his promises to the Muslim world.

Brzezinski said the Obama administration is "diddling around" in trying to reach an “evasive compromise” between Israel and the Arab world.

I seem to recall it was actually the French who helped the Israelis with the nuke thing. Not sure if USA was in on that deal.

Meantime, Otto Skorzeny of SS Old Comrades Group (ODESSA) was helping the Gyppos with the "Rockets of Helwin." Everyone was exchanging cheerful letter bombs and life went on.

Amusingly, Skorzeny supposedly met with the Israelis and they shook hands and called it a draw.

Hmmm Excellent point Dayne ... could it be that the actual definition of Friendship in this case is a bit, shall we say "different" than the normal accepted one. Let me try to retract it by stating how terribly touching and wholesome it is that the majority of "foreign aid" always goes to the "State of Israel" despite the fact it was founded by violence and misrepresentation and not God.

Right on Dane. Israel is the only country that is ready and willing to put a stop to barbarians that would nuke Israel or the USA without hesitation. I have come to believe after some thought and Post like the one from Glen here that I was out of line commenting with such force off topic as it is not my thread and I was sidetracking the entire purpose and "Spirit" of it. I did not intend to do this but I did fail to even consider it. Understand that I am not changing my stated views but that I am apologising for being out of place and inconsiderate. I am sorry Slacker. I adore your many Threads and I pretty much agree with them all even though we do not share perhaps exactly the same "Spirituality".

Daynes Post was vastly superior to mine in purpose and in keeping with the original intent. In future I will address such within my our Thread and when commenting on other Threads will make certain I remain within their realm. Ta
