This was the 10th year in a row my wife and I have gone to see TSO's seasonal show. 3rd row center this time, pretty good for pictures but actually too close to appreciate the whole set design and FX.
Some people may think their music is too scripted and, hence, bland, and it is true that everything is rehearsed and organized, just like a symphony orchestra's concert would be - with 6 musicians, plus 9 singers plus a string section, it has to be scripted. Even the two guitarist's volumes and fx have to be controlled from offstage - amps in iso boxes behind the stage. Like a ballet or opera, the music is just part of the whole show.
