You mentioned The Pixies!

I'm in VT.

Please check my ad, if you haven't given up already.

Hey, Dye.
You play hammered dulcimer, huh?
I love the sound of hammered dulcimer . . .
How does that fit in with the other stuff you do - what type of stuff do you play on it?
Ever listen to 'Joyous Noise' - or, was it 'Thunderhead?'
Someone gave me a copy on cassette, probably 20 years ago.
Don't know which is the group name, and which is the album name. But - I still listen to it . . . .

Dead Can Dance. Very possibly the greatest band ever. (RIP)

Hey, Irminsul,
How about skipping a conversation once in a while, and let some of the other people talk?

Irminsul is most welcome on my posts!

He's the only one with any taste so far!

Samick you know I've put up with your snarky attitude since I've come on this forum, and I've kept my mouth relatively quiet about it until now.

This is a forum. It means a place where people talk. Freely. If you do a scan of the entire thing you'll find that I post on a tiny minority of the available topic areas, and in a minority of the topics contained within them.

If you don't like my postings, then don't read them. If you still have a psychological urge to post some snippy, irrelevent crap like you just did, there is a large pool of therapists out there who can help you.

so then, what you are saying is only people with your tastes have taste? That's uhm...well a little narrow minded...but that's okay because I consider myself an artist and lack of taste has little or nothing to do with artistic expression

I wanted to work with someone who plays a hammer dulcimer on a song.
- but - ok - it's not worth it.

And you're being stopped HOW, exactly?

This feels like high school all over again!

I am a bit "narrow minded" .

I'm really looking for people that like what I'm into

as I've demonstrated in my posts, and I'm getting

replies having nothing to do with my queries.

It does seem like there isn't much for me here.

Oh well

well first I'm far from high school, in fact my grandchildren are closer...but I would suggest when trying to attract musicians to work with in your style, maybe that's what you should say. Instead you said the only person with taste...note not 'the same taste as me'...just a blanketted 'taste'....personally that would turn me off if I had the same taste, I really do not deal with egos well and generally have learned on forums that when online you need to read between the lines...your thread "are there any cool people yada, yada," seems to remain consistant with my point...your version of cool people + your version of taste=narrowminded in my book...sorry if that offends you, perhaps you should ask yourself why.

Take care

I am not offended at all.

I was just really hoping someone would see the posts,

recognize things in them that we might have in common,

and then respond.

If that continues not to happen I will give up on this site.

The high school statement was meant to indicate that I was in

the minority then (back in the 80's) and I seem to be in the

minority here (early goth/punk surrounded by rockers metal heads etc.).
