Just a head's up folks. Forum member Yod has been working on his Cultural Xchange music series for the last 2 years and tracks/ EPs are being released now. I had the pleasure of sitting-in during two sessions and though my musical contributions were effectively zero, it was a great opportunity to watch and listen while a handful of extraordinary musicians applied their craft. The result is some pretty excellent music to my ears. See if you agree on these sample tracks...

Very good stuff. I particularly liked 'Dead Sea.' Had no idea it looked like that. Can't imagine seeing that and not writing a song.

Ted certainly wrote a song that captured what I felt when I saw that. I'm a desert rat from way back but I've never seen anything that desolate.

Some interesting lyrics.

Well, thank you Dave. That's mighty nice of ya to toot my horn.

I have a picture of you and I sitting on the couch (down near the bottom on the left side) at:

My son, whom you met that day, is a film-maker and we're planning a virtual-reality music video at the Dead Sea in late February.

I'll bring all of you there with me...

Thanks!

The Dead Sea has NOTHING in it, and is the lowest place on earth.

Actually I had already chosen an alternate location if we weren't able to go to the Dead Sea, and the Salton Sea in Southern California is a good substitute with it's own unique qualities. I wouldn't swim there, because there are dead fish all over the shores...probably get a bone in your foot. Right at sundown the skies turn a cool mixture of purples and pinks.

Then there is New Mexico. I'm writing from the Navajo reservation and have been doing concerts here for 4 days now. I love these folks...so humble. And they have the MOST sci-fi natural scenery in the world......and much of it hasn't been seen by the outside world.

Decisions, decisions.....alas, I'm going to Israel in December to scout for the shoot in February.

I'm glad you got it finished Ted and the tracks turned out great. Very moving emotionally which is what music is all about I think.

I am planning a trip to Israel in May next year so I will have to check out the dead sea for myself. Maybe play a little "Ted" on my ipod as a reminder.

There are a lot of photos in that section. My guess is that you don't have hi-speed internet out there in the boonies and it was taking too long to load.

And thank you Mr BadStrat.
