I watched all those guys too - was a big Raider's fan - thought the costumes were silly but loved the music.
"I hadda leave town 'cuz of Uncle Sam's Deal" What a great line! (Particularly for young guys who were facing the draft and definitely not looking forward to it!)
For me though - it was all leading up to a culmination: Shindig the night The Stones opened with 'The Last Time' and then at the end debuted 'Satisfaction.' Just Damn!
