Man, I am not trying to insult you, but come on, you should know better than that. Making them legal will just f*cking kill us all, people will be high all of the time. It will not slow the process down, it will make it progress even faster. More and more people will drop the Hell dead, and you will have drivers driving around high. You think the police have trouble dealing with drunks? Try legalizing drugs and see how the cops feel, see how many innocent people die because these people get in their cars and drive with their systems full of drugs.

Some drugs should be legalized. Pot is the big one. It is less dangerous and addictive than alcohol yet people are in prison for it. Beyond stupid. But heroin? That one is bad news. You have to keep a chain on some things, but make sure you pick wisely what they are.

I totally understand your point GA. But I think the "driving around" problem is an inforcement problem. I mean how many times do you have to arrest the same guy? And then again as I said before. People would easily OD, now they do not have to go and contact their sources to get the drugs. There you go, now they are stealing mommy and daddy's money and buying the drugs off of the shelves, that is unless you card them. With carding, then the young ones will go to the drug dealers and buy them, and there you go, you still got the dealers. Then Columbia can open up a trade organization with our country, we can just buy tons of it from them legally, and then they will flourish as we go down hill - and then they can build larger armies of drug lords and continue with their guerilla warfare tactics, and start bombing our country for the Hell of it.

And no, I would not buy it from a store, I do not do drugs, man! I am not interested, but for those who are curious, it would make life easier for them. Then they go try it, like it, get addicted, whoops, they O.D.. Now parents have another dead kid, and another getting addicted, because the system is just too simple. People are going to buy them whether they are legal or not, you are right, but if they are illegal it slows down the process of addicts, if they are legal it will only increase it. Plus if they are legal it will enhance the ability for those already on drugs to get them, thus making it impossible for them to get off, even with rehab. It would become the same as alcohol, people will become addicted, hurt others accidently, and in turn the world will be a worse place.

Dang it I have to agree with Irmy again, Hell it grows wild in East Texas.
Dont think smokin anything is good for the lungs but I know lots of very successful, productive, and happy people who smoke pot.
I dont figure I'm special, if I can walk away from cocain because its F/U my life I figure anybody can if they want to. I was neck deep in the drug culture late 70s early 80s. Most of the guys I was associated with back then were respectful responsable folk that just liked to get high. The police for the most part ignore us. (some of em would join you when off duty) Then it got ugly, seems like the "man" figure out there was money to be made fighten the evil pot head, next thing ya know everyone's totin a rosco. Of couse this also coincided with the Columbian era.
