I hate you... So much, lmao. Why are you so good and I am so bad!!!!?

Neh, just kidding around with you. Awesome man, I like the soloing throughout the piece. You seem like a fast guitarist, what is the fastest stuff you play?

What amplifier did you use to do this?

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

G.A.,
It's not merely the "fastness" that endears the "seasoned ones" on the forum to young Mr. Gentry's gitfidlin' , but the" finesse" "faultlessness" and friggin' fineness of his playin' in general. I heard it back in December upon my first listen. I would be willin' to bet that if you had the opportunity to sit in with such people, you would be "on your way" to being "top notch" in very little time. I've seen it many times. Let Mikey inspire you, and with your enthusiasm , you'll surprise yourself!
P.S. Uncle RythemMan and Myself haven't forgotten about that G.E.D. exam , so keep your priorities straight. Now back to work! (but keep on rockin')

Thanks HowlinJ I appreciate the kind words but I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on this one. I have no training. I play by ear and can't read a note of music. I get very sloppy, have a tendency to go off course and over do my playing and I noodle way, way, way to much. I could only teach someone my bad habits. Thanks GA, I'm not really fast. I recorded that in my bedroom while I was practicing. I just mic'd up my Line6. I use my Line6 quite a bit at home and save my Marshall for shows and band practice. I think they are great little amps with some nice built in effects.

Uncle Howlin, I imagine with a bit of training I could get very good, lol. I am actually working with my friend right now to learn music theory in depth. He is taking lessons and is required to learn every last bit apparently, lol. So we are learning to read standard notation, understand scales, chord structure, special picking techniques (Well he has altered his way of holding a pick, I am working on alternative picking), and so on and so forth. So yeah that is all fascinating.

No, I will not forget that you and RhythmMan are waiting for me to get that GED. I found out last week it is $50 dollars to sign up, and then you have to wait 3 weeks to get in to take the test, takes a bit of time. First I have to get the $50 together. Anyhow, it gives me extra time to straighten my act up more so and study a lot harder.

You know, it was funny the other day, I was doing a Geometry problem (Note that this problem has stumped me in this book for five years), and it required Algebra, and I just looked at it, and I somehow, and I do not know how, remembered how to do it... I just sat there and remembered how to factor the equations and all of the sudden, poof, I finally had the right answer, after all of these years... Lol. In order for me to solve it finally I had to analyze the answer carefully and reverse the equation to solve it. It was a bit tricky, lol.

So yeah, I am going to work harder, thank you for keeping an eye out for me. The more encouragement, the better (Sometimes I need it).

--------

Mike, Line 6's are good little amplifiers, I think I am going to pick myself up a cheap 15 watt for $100 bucks (When I have the extra cash), and just jam on that for now. Later on I am going to try out the Mesa Boogie and Marshalls, see which one will fit for the stage (When I get the band together with my friend).

You are very good for someone who does not know how to read music and just plays by ear. Do you not know how to read tablature either...? I would find it very hard to not be able to do that as well... Lol.

You have a good speed man, I can match it, I think, but it would not sound as fluid. Keep writing and I will listening.

P.S. You realize we are the youngest ones here... Lol. Which is good because we get to soak up all of the wisdom of those who are extremely experienced here.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
