Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club is going to court in a bid to end a 20-year David and Goliath row over who is entitled to own the rights to its name – ‘the place where it all began’ or a Hard Rock cafe in Boston, Massachusetts, where Brian Epstein didn’t discover The Beatles.

Please sign the petition to help support The Cavern.

Rather silly, if you ask me. The Cavern Club (Liverpool) owns the right to the name in the UK, Europe, Australia and China. The Hard Rock paid for 'international rights' which include the US and Mexico.
Per Wiki, there are tribute clubs in Dallas, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Adelaide, Wellington, and Costa Teguise in Lanzarote. A google shows Cavern Club Theater, and other similarly-named places all over the place.

Now I can understand TCC now wanting a Hard Rock Cavern Club openin gup in Liverpool, or even London, but its just a name, not a place.
