Okay - so I picked up March's issue of Sound on Sound and from reading the cover page article, about remote collaboration, I thought I'd try this out. Has anyone tried this out? What was your experience like?

So the topic is quite self explanatory. If you have some recording skills, regardless of your equipment, and find my taste in music matches yours - then send me a message. Would be great to connect with some cool/chill people, without egos unless you are actually an expert. But I think most of us are not really experts here, cause the experts I know do not need to join bandmix.

I am mostly interested in a singer & drummer, but I welcome bass, strings, and beat-maker. I am a guitarist of 23 years. I am also a multi-instrumentalist. Check out my page to give you a sense of my style and taste. I am 33.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this important disclaimer. Please have a demo online, either on bandmix or elsewhere. I think we can both agree that we would have to hear the other person's work to know if this is a good idea.

It's a good idea . . . just don't have time in the schedule for another project.

Best wishes . . . let us know how it goes.

I've done some online collaborations, the key is to finding people wanting to do the same thing as you (just as in in person collaborations).

You might try searching for a colab. site like Kompoz or TwoTrack Music... they both are set up for such a thing.
I've also seen where folks start an on-line band... at those sites.
Good Luck to you!
