Hey everyone! Im back with some more music, this time on the rock-side. Its an all-guitar rewrite I made to the jazz classic Lily Was Here. I wanted to avoid making "just another cover", but still stay in the amazing atmosphere of the original composition. And this before you is the result. Have a listen!

If you like the style feel free to have a listen to my originals, and perhaps subscribe if you dig the music (I got much more fun music on the way).

Nice choice for a cover... but the drums to bass seem to struggle with the meter. Not together throughhout the song. Also the kick is pretty weak and high in it's pitch almost sounded like a snare. It distracted me from your guitar playing at times... Just being honest.
Good Luck to you.

I'll echo Java's comments. Suspect you've chosen a 4/4 drum loop that doesn't match a jazzy 8/4 or 6/4 tune. Find a better drum looper, too, the sound is not too good.

What drum software is it?

I use EZ Drummer. When I first used it I just dragged and dropped the loops in and left them as they were. Now I go into the MIDI, adjust hit volumes, change patterns, etc. Definite learning curve!

Im using addictive drums. It comes with pretty cool drum sounds and I can EQ every drum. Im definitely adding more lows to the bass drum on my next recording Im working on right now.

Listening solely to the sound of the drums on Lily Was Here, what else do you think should be improved?
