Mark, I think Glens problem with you. Is you don't work and yet tell other folks how they should be in society. That they should give, while if you are not working that in itself is kind of hypocritical. You know I consider you a friend regardless of your employment status. :P
a giver and a taker makes sense, but would you not have to be both a giver and taker ? they sorta work in conjunction with each other.. when the fat ass billionaire living off stock dividends, stocks his great great grandfather passed down to him, is he not more of a taker than a giver.. afterall, it is not like he's earning his daily bread from sweat and toil like a Mexican migrant worker would be doing? yet the poor Mexican migrant worker is giving plenty back paying his income taxes.. while the billionaires dependents no doubt have their billions parked offshore, free from GIVING back to society..

Dane, Paleeze stop blaming successful people for your lack of ambition!
and just what makes them successful if all they have done with their lives is inherit a fortune from their daddy? look at the Gettys for instance.. at one time I thought you were on the ball, but I sometimes wonder, listen to your mom once in awhile.. I prolly could get along with her well cause she is a Democrat like me..

Cayman Islands ring a bell GLENNY?.. the whole point of this thread was to point out the silliness of whether Mark has a job or not? while billionaires, many of have not HIT A LICK their entire lives living off the stock dividends, bond interest, rental income etc. all considered PASSIVE INCOME, and not EARNED INCOME from actually toiling away like a Mexican picking vegetables for little money because the "law" allows the exploitation of them.. once again, who writes these laws to THEIR advantage while the poor suffer although actually working, and working hard, and the billionaire does not even pay their fair share of taxes cause the money is in a Swiss Bank account or Caiman Islands..

I am not against the rich, I am against the philosophy that states, without them no job creation takes place, I am against "trickle down economics" ..who is to say, they HAVE to let it trickle down?.. I am against the rich's ability to hire the best legal teams and buy politicians to make the law in their favor.. even Warren Buffet talks about in some literature he has published how it all boils down to what family you are born into, as to whether you have a fighting chance of becoming as you cal it, "SUCCESSFUL"..if you only read the Bible that you so much quote all the time you would read what Jesus said about the SUCCESSFUL/WEALTHY and that the desire to be wealthy is of the world and not of heaven ..you are duped

You liberals crack me up Dane! Ya'll are so hell bent on punishing such a small group of people that inherit their fortunes that your willing to throw the worlds strongest economy down the toilet to do it. Only to turn around and give it to a bunch of undeserving law breakers that hate you for being white! Such fools! What about independent small business men like Glen? People like him are leaving New York in droves because of the socialist governor and mayor. They have placed so much uneccessary regulation on small business's that they can no longer prosper there. That's okay Texas will welcome them with open arms. Why do you think we are doing so well down here Dane?

if I were in charge, I will tell you how I'd do it.. but you will need to want to learn from me what's a fair way of making it an even playing field.. I will not lecture you unless you are willing to hear the truth that possibly might hurt you..

As long as they keep you and I and both our sides divided and fighting we won't come together to vote them and there policies out! That's what both sides want Dane. It is called divide and conquer. On one side we have a communist and the other large corps. Feeding one another and keeping themselves in power!

the first policy on my agenda, (since in my own mind I am now pretending to be the King of the World,) would be

1.no corporation is allowed to manufacture, distribute, warehouse inventory, in any country other than the country they are based out of, if you are an American U.S. corporation you will reside ONLY in the U.S. producing your product or service, UTILIZING only Americans as your employees.. you will also not be able to have owners/ stockholders residing in any other country other than the U.S. ..

How do you explain your love for illegal immigrants coming to this country stealing legal citizens jobs and working for low wages? If you are so pro America?

it's simple, they are keeping the cost of produce in the grocery store at a reasonable level, since they are performing labor that no American will perform at any hourly rate of labor .. that's the irony of it, we have welfare recipients that could be picking lettuce but they would rather have Cogress extend their unemployment checks another year.. don't think I'm a straight liberal, cause I ain't.. those people drawing unemployment checks for longer than 26 weeks are bums..

I am now King of The World and Plan No. 2 that every American of working age is REQUIRED TO DO:
get certified by a doctor as to your physical and mental status, in other words, if you are infirm both mentally and physically you will be put under some sort of program to rectify your mental or physical problem , if you are a nutter you will be drugged or electro-shocked to get your mind fit again, a fit mind on it's own initiative will always seek some sort of pastime that will benefit society as a whole, only unfit minds and bodies prefer to sit home watching soap operas, Springer and quaffing potato chips by the bag.. if you are diseased you will be put under a program to eradicate the disease to get you ready to be a part of the workplace..
this will alleviate the tremendous amount of money the tax dollars are spending on food stamps going to undeserving people.. if you are phsically limited then you will be a compueter data entry clerk or something rather than a field hand etc. :D

I disagree Dane. They work for such low wages and are on welfare, down here they work for $10.00 an hour and drive 59k pickup trucks. They get every government handout via lies and income tax evasion. Theirs is an underground economy. I have personally witnessed it. In reality it has been proven they cost way more than they contribute and that's a fact!
The economy down here in Texas is stronger than I have ever seen it. When I was coming up it was close to what it is now. I had my choice of jobs in the 70's. Now the economy is better and my teens can't find a job. One of the reasons our kids are getting fat is they don't know the value of a hard days work. The teens use to do that work Dane. Now they can't!

I agree, the underground economy is a problem that could be controlled, but lack of citizen documentation let's it perpetuate and a money losing problem the Feds need to get a grip on.. nothing I hate worse than having to file Federal and State taxes, which I do and can be proven, while other peddlers/merchants /dealers steal from me by not filing a tax return.. I know all about the flea market mentality and the under the table dealings that go on unreported.. I am at a disadvantage trying to compete with the income tax evaders everywhere.. cashless society would suit me fine.. I have nothing to hide financially..

Dane, what I am trying to convey to you is letting them cut in line in front of folks that have legally immigrated here will NOT solve the problem. We tried that back when RR gave them amnesty the first time back in the eighties. It did NOT solve the problem then and it will NOT work now. They are here for one thing and one thing ONLY, to exploit our economy and all the freebies liberals are willing to give them. They prove that everyday by refusing to assimilate into our society. On the contrary they are forcing us to assimilate to their ways. At some point this madness has to stop. I don't think it will, sadly until it is too late and our economy collapses.
