The sarcasm/being a smart ass is welcomed in that circumstance. We Americans tend to forget the atrocities that happen overseas. We go about our daily lives complaining because the pizza man is late, meanwhile people across the world have worms in their stomachs, horrible diseases, and barely eat.

Americans are fairly spoiled and we are also very cocky.

It makes me sad to see what goes on in this world and no one does anything about it, simply because they are greedy, selfish, pieces of crap.

Doctors turning down patients because the patient cannot afford the healthcare, thus the patient dies. They are so worried about their own asses that they forget the reason they became doctors.

I am reading about getting into medical school now. I will never break my oath and if I ever do I shall never forgive myself.

GA, I believe a man can make an honest living and serve mankind as well. My Family Physician when he felt he had his famliy set for their worldly needs. You know Education funds and the like. He chucked it all to do free stuff as a missionary over seas. I hated to see him go I realy liked and trusted him (something that does not come easy for me.) But I truly respect him as a Man.

I respect any man who is willing to give up his "creature comforts" so others can have. I cannot wait to be a Doctor, just so I can volunteer my services for people in need.

Honor is seldom found in this world, but when it is it makes me feel better. People should be honorable and follow the oath they took the second they stepped into that medical school.

Money, as you said, will come in time. As a Biomedical Engineer I will be making a 6 figure salary after some years in the field, and maybe even more, that is fine for me. I want a job that pays well, but the most fulfilling factor of the job is helping others, not the money.

I like Ron Paul too. He has done remarkably well , but I doubt that he is a serious contender at this point. Still , if all of the people who say things like "I ain't gonna vote because they're all a bunch of scumbags" would have taken the time to actually check out the "other" candidates, Paul would have made an even more impressive showing! True, his policies seem "radical" to a lot of people, but he makes a lot of sense to me.

Get rid of the I.R.S.

Stop wasting resources in half baked wars

dump the federal reserve etc.

He is also an M.D. who values human life.(delivered thousands of babies!)

He comes across as a pretty honest individual for a politician, and doesn't seem to be afraid to stick his neck out. I liked him quite a bit at first.

But then...

When he said that Pakistan is none of our business, i.e. "falling into radical hands" was none of our business. I realized he is a fruit loop. A country with nuclear weapons, and who is in charge of the buttons, is ALWAYS our business.

Anyone not concerned about the prospects of that genie getting out of the bottle again, is not living in reality.

There are some things about Ron Paul I like as well. Like dump the IRS.
Legalising drugs, not that I,m all about drugs dont get me wrong. we spend too much money chasing around some harmless pot heads. If you want to waste your life on that, go ahead its a free country, but if your messed up and kil someone in a car crash I dont care if its beer or heroin we aught to hang your ass. And like my southern friend, Like it or no America is the big brother, If we dont exercise some judicious control over our boiling world were the ones gona get burned.
Check out The Constatutional Party, I sent for some info looks interesting to me.

Too bad you cant slice and dice candidates together and get what you like in one package.

I like Ron Paul for one thing, if you look at his record he has stayed the course of his convictions since hes been in public life. For a politician that is quite an accomplishment. I think he is totally unelectable as president, but Im glad he is airing his concerns in the race, whenever the press will let him participate. Of all the candidates if he told me something face to face, I would believe it. I cant say that about any of the others.

Just my 2 cents.

Ron Paul also had a bit of a problem with that racist newsletter he used to put out...that when called on it, he wanted to blame on his "ghost writer". Odd, because even when someone has a ghost writer they are responsible for the content.

That is when RP became revealed to me as a bit of a racist coward.

Didn't know about that one. When did this happen?

I had no clue about it either Craig, so good question, lol.

Ron Paul seemed alright, but admittedly, I never knew his politics, just he seemed nice. *Shrugs*

Peace, GuitarAnatomy.
