After a few listens I think "Once in a while" has more potential of the two. I especially like the "When we're together again part... and the mandolin that follows it. Some of the progression reminds me of one of my songs I've not been able to finish. Nonetheless it's the better of the two.

OIAW is the oldest song - actually dates back 40 years ago. And the 'mandolin' is actually a 12-string played up high and mic-ed. The original version of this that I had recorded (first song ever using a computer/DAW had mondolin, but my Washburn is such a POS, its impossible to get a consistent good tone loud enough to record.

i did a few BS recordings w that new RIGEL mando i recently picked up just to see how it does. holy cowabunga batman!

and when not wanting to mess w isolation/headphones...it's pickup does a great job too.

Really too bad your two far out to sit in with Eric and I on our side project.
I think you would really gt a kick out of what we are doing.

Some acoustic arrangements of previous songs, some totally new material.

The one Eric and I are working on right now is a three movement piece.

I've got more than a half a dozen songs in the works right now, but it seems like the acoustic ones just come together so easy (for me) compared to the electric ones, that I've let the electric songs gather dust.
