I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the CIA helped him, but Sirhan Sirhan was doing the bidding of Arafat, who also assassinated our Saudi Ambassador, Cleo Noel, in 1973.

I'm not suggesting he was a patsy. He had full-knowledge of what he was doing and who he was working for. What I said was that it wouldn't surprise me if certain elements in our intelligence community also knew his intentions and either allowed or supported it tacitly.

Murder is against everything Christianity stands for so it doesn't matter what his family was, he was not a christian.

I have many arab christian friends who have an impossible situation, but much of what is called "christianity" in the arab world is culturally christian but not necessarily true to the tenets of the faith. Just like the greco-version of european christianity, or the "liberation theology" of latin america.

Kennedy indeed got us into VN - he was also preparing to get us back out since the VN govt was corrupt and had no support and the only options were going in with full scale conventional forces.

"Greco-church" is a term referring to humanist churches. It's looking at the scripture through human philosophy, as opposed to faith. Nothing to do with the Orthodox church, which is actual less "greek" than most.
