In order for a band to stand a chance at becoming successful it needs to be filled with people who are committed to making it work. People who don’t shy away from doing the work. People who are willing to sacrifice in order to progress. These types of people are rare but they do exist.
They usually lead their own respective projects and hunt for musicians to join them but rarely attempt to join other “leaders”, which could be the solution for many.

We’re like ships in the night. It’s crazily ironic that as leaders and musically dedicated individuals we don’t join one another more often to make things work. We just plough away looking for weaker “follower” musicians who more often than not don’t have the will or ambition to succeed, thereby holding us back. People like that will always prioritise other things over the band and therefore handicap you from the start.

As a result 99% of bands are doomed from the start.

Shame isn’t it?
