I am looking for fun live venues in Vancouver. I'm from Britain and looking to get into the live music scene here. I'm looking for places and bands that don't take themselves too seriously. I'm not looking for singer/songwriter, own music showcase type venues.
Ideally I'd like to find relaxed open-mic/blues/cover band type of venues where the musicians are good quality, but still know how to enjoy themselves. Suggestions please.
(by the way, I'm not saying that the own-music acts and venues can't enjoy themselves - just that I've found loads of places like that already and now I want to find some places that do a different type of night).
