Jahva, did you go downtown or to the Riverwalk? Gosh I LOVE that city! The best TEXMEX food in the world is in SA. FYI TexMex food is what ya'll call Mexican food. Most don't know that Mexican citizens fought and died at the Alamo. Most folks (not you Jahva) say well you guys lost at the Alamo but don't know that the battle of the Alamo led to the Battle Of San Jacinto and Texas independence! The president of Mexico back in 1824 was in the process of taking land rights from everyone in Mexico. He had previously invited people to settle Texas. Texains is what they were called back then everyone (including Mexicans) rose up against an oppressive government and fought for independence.
Enough about Texas history but the blend of cultures back then gave rise to TexMex food. For instance Mexicans only had corn tortillas (my fav.) when the Germans came they only had flour and introduced flour tortillas! If you ask any modern day Mexican citizen about TexMex food they laugh and say that is not Mexican food.

Yeah downtown was pretty cool lots of flavor to it. Spent a day at the Riverwalk. We went to the Alamo. There is an old oak (140 yrs old) in one of the courtyards there. Just an amazing beautiful tree.
Very tourist friendly town... my son is going through his technical training at the AFB.
But yeah nice city and excellent Tex-Mex food.
