So Dover Soul has a gig tomorrow night, and for the third set I will do a mini-set with The Farleys. Today the All Around Bar, tomorrow the world!

I have a B-52 but the thing is heavy and I just want to leave it in the basement and just use it for my rehearsal amp. The wife gave me the go ahead to get a new one if I had to, provided it wasn't $3,000. I'm sick of Guitar Center so on the way home from work last night I stopped in at BluesAirman Guitars to see what they had. A young dude was jamming an Epiphone Les Paul copy through a Blackstar combo. It sounded awesome! Turns out the guy is Joey Gaydos, Jr., who was in "The School of Rock" with Jack Black. I ended up buying the amp and invited Joey to come up and sit in tonight. Well no sooner did I load the new amp in my car when the repair place called and said the Marshall was ready. Oh well now I have a new amp. Tonight is going to be amazing.I got a can of D-oxit and want to do a mod on my Fender HotRod Deluxe.. change out the linear volume pot to a audio taper pot, to correct the master volume "problems" the early versions of Hot Rods had, the problem is you turn the volume setting from 1 to 2 and it goes from super quiet to super loud.. Fender engineers figured out their engineering mistake later in production.. it is unacceptable gain

No matter how small or big the gig.... always go with the 4x 12 cab with at least a 100 watt head... and I personally ALWAYS mic my amp through the PA... Don't matter how much you have to drag around... Looks cooler on stage!
