so, my wife, our dog, and i got back yesterday from a mini VAL & MAL tour of Iowa.

the guy who owns JP's in Washington Iowa was pretty cool. when he realized we had Bear (our 140 lb sheepdog/pyranese mix) w us in the car he insisted we bring him into the club. frigging dog hogged everyone's attention all night and i doubt anyone even knew Val and I were there playing!

note to self..NEVER work with dogs or small children.

w the glasses... that's Val. (10x the musician you'll ever be.)

those thingies up on the stands are called mics (short for microphones)

my wife is BEHIND the camera. (that means you can't see her in the photo)

that's a guitar Val is holding. after you tune them up (try it some time) in the hands of someone that can play (unlike yourself) they're pretty cool.

that's a bass i'm holding. you play bass lines w one of those. (those are the low notes you hear in a song.)

and for the musicians on this forum who are curious...to the right behind Val is her dad's early '70's Harmony H75 guitar. it's a thinline w full hollow body, three De'Armond p/u's w vol and tone... AND KILL switches for each pickup! cowabunga!

oh, i doubt that's where this bozo is from. his last handle had him living somewhere else if i recall. and really, does AR need a loser like this dragging their rep down any further?

re. the bass it's a WASHBURN XB600 6 string that i bought new around '92 or so for all of $500! they've long since discontinued this model and i rarely see this version (w two single coil J style p/u's) up for grabs anywhere. they are ridiculously good basses. they play great, sound great, and the workmanship is top notch. my one gripe is the string spacing is a little close but it's easy enough to get used to.

if you can find one of these...grab it.

I think willie is funny as hell! IMO he has waayyyy too much time on his hands. I am thinking of suing him for wasting my time after reading his worthless posts!
