GLENNY J wrote: In discourse with liberal thinking I always find that any method of changing, diverting, and obfuscating any thought that may lead to the truth is the first line of defense.

and it's not lost on people that you use that tactic again, and again, and again!

glen, you talk about libs creating diversions as talking points (another diversion tact YOU use endlessly) but that's exactly what you do every time you toss out one of your "facts", and state for a "fact" what your opponents think and believe (in my case you're wrong most of the time!)

I have to chuckle, because in this case you cut and pasted to prove out your point. THIS WAS THE ONLY WAY YOU COULD PROVE OUT your attack. (all your opinion).

and what "point" was that.....that you state your opinions as "facts". hell, in that one post that i cut and pasted.....there's proof right there. you did it what... three times in that one post alone!

also provides yet another example of how you decide what other people's opinions are.... and then build your house of cards and "attack" on that.

no matter whether your assesment is accurate or not....it's goal is a diversion, a distraction, and a transparent attempt to have your opponent waste their time trying to clarifying their true position.

and then... ya turn around and level an accusatory finger at libs for distractions???? glen, you're one funny guy!

anyway...i'm done on the subject. ya can come back w some more inaccurate "facts" about what i believe and don't believe about the gov't if ya have to but i grow weary of that game.

in the future you might try to incorporate and sprinkle some of these in when stating your "facts" or telling others what THEIR opinions are....here, try some of these on for size:

it seems to me....
in my opinion....
it appears that you believe...
if undersatnd your position correctly...
i believe that....
well, my take is.....

try it sometime, glen. who knows, you just might like it! :)

"what? you telling me, you LIKE mayo on your burger???? ycccch...why, that sounds like the stuff you hear from liberals!!

LOL...alright glen. we'll just have to agree to disagree. we might as well keep our conversations limited to music as i see it. hopefully that's going well for you and you're staying busy and having some enjoyable gigs these days.

Dane,
Sorry for the late reply. I got about 20 computers from the computer shop and was repairing them, then my drummer came to town and we jammed for most of the day. It was a blast..

“hey Slacker my friend, do you enjoy studying history? I know you are quite the electronics technician but did not know if you like studying cultures and stuff from the past? but anyhow, history books can reveal knowledge about the Knights Templar, these "soldiers" were some of the people that journeyed to Jerusalem to battle the Muslims in order to restore the Holy Land .. anyway as great as these Knights Templar were supposed to be, they took vows of poverty as a basis of following the faith of Christianity.. Jesus come for the poor and unprotected and many times rejected the philosophies of the "upper crust" of the day.. give Caesar what's Caesar's when you look at that coin..”

No. Not much into history. What does someone taking up a vow on his or her own initiative have to do with the ministry of Jesus? Were the crusades also commissioned by Jesus? Moses was correct in that which he did, yet a million Israelis thought he was wrong…So what do numbers of men following someone’s interpretation of a godly mission prove? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
Unless Jesus Christ, in the flesh, was leading the Knights personally it has nothing to do with what I said.

How about “He who does not work should not eat”? How about “You shall not steal”? You are in alliance with those who steal from the working man to give to the lazy and call that a Christian act. You throw in with those coming to America to break our laws, are you also not one of them? It is written, “Obey mans laws” So you throw in with thieves and law beakers then correct me about the mission of Christ with an example that has nothing to do with the commission of Christ? Go figure.

To get back to the commission of Jesus. I say Jesus came to enrich the poor in spirit, you say not so. Everyone that believed in Jesus was touched or healed by him.
Of those, show me just one scripture where Jesus took a poor person and brought him out of his poverty. Surly he must have done that if he came to minister wealth to the poor, right? I can show you many where Jesus enriched the poor in spirit. And why didn’t Jesus bless John the Baptist with some bread? He came from the desert in rags eating locusts and honey. Jesus didn’t consider him worthy? Yes Jesus cared for the poor, but he also died and paid the price for the wealthy.

Mat 5:3 (ESV) "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Luk 7:22 And he answered them, "Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good news preached to them.
Jam 2:5 Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

Of course Jesus cared for the poor, but he came to preach the gospel to them, not to take them out of their poverty. The Scribes and the Pharisees were proud and did not relish the poor in their gatherings. Therefore Jesus came to preach to the poor. So until you can show me one instance where Jesus took someone out of physical poverty, as opposed to spiritual poverty, I stand by what I said.

When you steal someone’s wages and give a portion to the poor, will Jesus bless you for stealing your brother’s wages or will he bless you for giving A PORTION (and indeed an infinitesimal portion at that) to the poor. And what was the great commission given to the disciples? Was it to preach the word throughout this world, or to go minister to the poor? I suggest that the great commission to all who believe is to preach the word to individuals poor in spirit, whether wealthy or in poverty.

I am not a theologian so therefore can not debate you as to what Jesus actually said about the poor, but if the actions demonstrated by Jesus in the new testament are actually true, we can observe Jesus as sort of an outcast character as determined by the head honchos of the Hebrew lands where he resided at that time in history, the Jewish elders and scribes tried to deride him at every chance they could.. how much of the new testament was transcribed correctly from the Greek is anybody's guess.. Jesus supposedly spoke Aramaic which is a language that probably would not "crossover" well into King James version English Bibles, (from the Greek) the bible probably most read today, even surpassing the Gideon Bible.. but if all we know about Jesus's actions has been passed on as it really occurred, it most definitely states that Jesus and all his followers were poor and were considered the downtrodden of that time and age.. Jesus was not popular with the ESTABLISHMENT of the day since he preached ideals that were contrary to being "successful"(money, riches, pomp & circumstance, glory and the like) in the eyes of the elite of that day, since he was told by his father God in Heaven, "that it is easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle than to reach Heaven" simply because the way a rich/wealthy person thinks, trying to build treasure on earth rather than building treasure in the afterlife..

Ted Cruz might want to read the following: and since it applies to modern day political strife I am wondering if Ted is prepared?

The following signs are ascribed to Ali in the coming of Dajjal

People will stop offering the prayers
Dishonesty will be the way of life
Falsehood will become a virtue
People will mortgage their faith for worldly gain
Usury and bribery will become legitimate
Imbeciles would rule over the wise
Blood of innocents would be shed
Pride will be taken on acts of oppression
The rulers will be corrupt
The scholars will be hypocrites

There will be acute famine at the time
There will be no shame amongst people
Many people would worship Satan
There would be no respect for elderly people

That's beautiful Dane. That expresses about 90% of of what Ted Cruz is fighting against.

Warp speed forward and we still have the same wannabe controlling faction that are dividing our country, robbing our country, and protecting themselves with their own distortion of "THE LAW". (liberals)

Thanks for the tip. :)

Yeah Scott - you really nailed it. At least as much as you ever do...

Now you commies can get back to destroying the economy.

Tea Party are for the most part, the American middle class. Marxists despise the middle class - we are independent and don't beg govt pigs for treats.

I feel so guilty... 8) But if you want to worship govt - have at it.

Dane, is one thread bashing Good old Ted Cruz not enough for you today? Knock yourself out brother. Carry on with the Cruz bashing! Once all the whippersnappers that voted for Obama and Obamacare get the specifics of they'll pay higher premiums and outrageous deductibles for healthcare or go to jail this farce of a president will be exposed and Mr. Cruz won't have to worry about defunding it cause the American people will DEMAND it be abolished!
