what I do find atrocious are the deductibles for the Bronze plan...THEY ARE HUGE!.. if we could only get hospitals to quit charging 50 bucks for an Advil we could get somewhere.. Obama really has not got the healthcare industry under control at all.. YET.. I agree, it will take many months to see if this ObamaCare thing works.. if I was young and spry again, I don't think I'd sign up, the deductible is too large for anything that's affordable..

Hospitals are a business and most hospitals can barely keep their doors open. Doctor bills are high because of mal-practice insurance is so high. There is no easy fix for the problem. In my opinion forcing people to buy a product in this case health insurance is not the answer! The insurance co. will get rich and everyone else is screwed!
On another note President Obama will negotiate with the Russians, the Iranians. It's interesting that he won't negotiate with the folks holding the purse strings. The last time we had a shutdown during the Clinton presidency Clinton stayed at the negotiating table knowing that nothing could be accomplished without negotiations. Obama's arrogance and my way or the highway attitude will not accomplish anything!

The Fuhrer was submitted a proposal to put a cap on frivolous medical lawsuits and to put caps on the maximum payouts that are causing the outrageous fees doctors and hospitals were forced to pay out. The Fuhrer, being a sleazy lawyer himself refused. That alone would have made hospital and doctor bills substantially smaller.

In fact, due to his past and present nature, I assume he encouraged them to make more law suits in order to make private health care more expensive and to force people into a regime health plan.

Have you noticed that since he became Fuhrer and nixed that proposal the number of lawsuits have skyrocketed. You can't watch TV for 1/2 hour without seeing a parade of class action suits against the medical community. SO DON'T BITCH ABOUT THE DEDUCTIBLE if you supported these con artists.

Both have had their turn, this country has steadily gone downhill. Gas prices have constantly risen for 50 years, therefore driving the cost of everything else up, since their shipping costs are increasing. Politicians from both parties lie to us, steal our money, sneak our rights out from under us, and we keep electing the same turds.

Obummer is an outright liar, plain and simple. He told us when trying to get elected the first time he wanted to pull us out of Afghanistan. He immediately sent in more troops...20,000 was it? He lied to you and me. He told us he wanted to improve education. Our high schools are still churning out some of the dumbest kids in the world. He lied to us. He told us he wanted to improve health care. Just how much do you improve health care by forcing everyone to buy insurance? Not one iota. You certainly improve the profits of both insurance and pharmaceutical corporations though....which is exactly his intent, if I know politicians.

How much do you improve health care by imposing a tax on medical equipment? Not one iota.

If what I heard this week is true, around 20,000 jobs have already been lost, thousands more will see their hours cut, we're headed quickly for what some are calling a part time economy. How much does this improve health care? Not one iota. He's lying to us.

Now he's telling us the Republicans are holding our country hostage. OK, they passed a bill that would have kept the government running, the people holding the country hostage are the ones that refused to accept it. And who is that? And their head honcho is? He's lying to us again.

Now he refuses to negotiate, maintaining a "my way or the highway" attitude. My way or the highway is a dictator, not a president.

Keep your shotguns loaded my friends, Saddam Hussein's evil step brother is running the white house...

What the people need to do is stop fighting like 2nd graders in a sandlot baseball game, (sounds just like Congress huh?) and put their heads together, figure out how to get this lying, stealing bum out of our government, eliminate both of the currently ruling political parties, they have both done nothing to improve anything in at least 50 years, and get some people in there who know we will not tolerate more of the same.

WE THE PEOPLE are supposed to be their concern, not MONEY.

What I want to know is, how much insurance company stock does Obummer own? Just how much does he plan to profit from this insanity? And who else in the white house is getting ready to count his or her profits?

Put your heads together people, stop arguing. That's the last thing politicians want to see...a unified public working against them.

and we have not really even hit on a problem a real doctor was discussing the other night on some news show, where are we going to come up with enough doctors to take on the new onslaught of enrollees now seeking medical care, that they used to just live with because they did not have insurance to go see a doctor without filing for bankruptcy.. even the most poor had some sense of honor putting up with their afflictions without seeing a doctor to keep the shame level down a little, now they will be flooding the hospitals, ER's, community health centers etc. ..maybe not

Dane I've wondered about that too. That's why we'll soon see people standing in line for months to get in to see a doctor, and very possibly dying during the wait.

And as of what CNN was saying just a few minutes ago, it's still a stalemate. Dictator (oops I mean President) and demos still refusing to budge, all or nothing, our way or the highway. They've been offered at least 4 attempts at a budget, or at least get parts of it running that are either really hurting people or making a lot of folks really pissed. Refused it all. Won't even vote on it.

I'm disgusted.

Something interesting from the international front. An interview with the head honcho of Israel. (Can't remember his name or proper title) He described their budget scenario. If they don't have a budget on Dec31, they go to last year's budget, and allot 1/12 for each month. Then after 6 months, if they still don't have a budget, they go to elections. He told the interviewer "We always get a budget.". The full interview is supposed to be aired tonight, I"m not sure if I'll catch it or not but sounds interesting.

Why didn't we have something like this in place a long time ago? This is not the first time we've seen a shut down, this is an excellent solution and should have been done 30 years ago. When your job is on the line, you'll work out a budget.

Anyway, it's still the same thing, and this is a great example of why I've despised both political parties for years, neither is working in the interest of the people, the rhetoric being spouted by repubs right now is just a smokescreen, it sure LOOKS like they're doing something in our interest, but it's one of a very few I can remember. Don't be fooled, if they were interested in you having a better life it would have happened while ol' Bushy boy was in there. All we got was higher prices and another war or two.

Those are kids being killed over there who get paid one hell of a lot less than the politicians who decided they needed to be there. I say swap their salaries. Pay the politicians what the soldiers make and vice versa. Wonder how many more wars we would get then...soon as you send the first load of troops in, salaries get reversed. Watch it end.

Then there's this "war" on drugs and crime...which created a war mentality on both sides. Criminals armed themselves for a war, police had no choice but to do the same, in self defense. And 30 years later nobody's winning it. Prisons are overcrowded, but not with crooked politicians, gangs are ruling many large cities, crack addiction is up to mind boggling proportions, ditto for methamphetamines, heroin is coming back but we still have this damn war...and it's making no headway at all.

I won't go into it too much, it's all guaranteed to stir up arguments and ruffle feathers...that's not what I'm into. I normally stay out of political discussions altogether. Because of all the insults and name calling that results because the two prevailing political parties in this country hate each other.

Oh and by the way it's the politicians in DC that I despise, I couldn't care less which party the average guy at home affiliates himself with. That's an entirely different story, 90% of them don't seem to realize or believe that the politicians they are electing are lying scum that have little or no interest in protecting the interest of Americans, only big business. This insanity only shows that BOTH are in it for big business. Rebublicans have been accused for many years, this abominablecare crap shows that they are not the only ones. As far as I can see so far, it helps nobody but huge insurance companies, and by proxy pharmaceutical companies as well. Doctor prescribes it, insurance company pays, drug company gets millions more customers. Everybody wins but the average person on the street. Who pays for it all.

How about the boatload of bad drug class action suits? Drugs and implants causing all sorts of major problems, lawsuits all over the place, people dying because drug companies don't care if their chemicals are actually helping, just so they get more money. What does abominablecare do about solving that problem? Nothing I can see.

Something was discussed in one of the shows about the loss of hours. I don't remember the details, but here's what I see...You don't have insurance now because you can't afford it. So the govt forces you to get some anyway. So what if you still can't afford it. So your employer then cuts your hours. I presume this is so he won't have to help pay for it...now you have an extra bill you couldn't pay to begin with, and a smaller paycheck to do it with, and a govt that says you're a criminal if you don't keep that insurance...

This helps us???? This makes our lives better?

OK so on a different note, my hat's off to the security people in DC who were still on the job yesterday even though they may not get their next paycheck, when the disaster occurred near the capitol and resulted in the death of an apparently very troubled woman.

You know I'm pissed when I get hot enough to join in on an internet political discussion...guess I need to send Obummer a nastygram...
