What's going on everyone? I see political debates are still -- and always -- in full swing on here ;)
So I've got two things with this post, don't feel like making two posts.
The first is to ask you all to post a YouTube link or at least tell everyone what your ONE favorite song would be if you had to choose only ONE.
Second thing is to politely ask all my facebookin peeps to check out my page as I am starting work on a third album. Those of you familiar with me know my music has been instrumental thus far. Not anymore. I am working with the vocalist of BlackBox13 (who happens to be my next door neighbor, haha) and we are going to release my next album with him on it. Check them out as well if you get a chance.
So please, give my page a like and let me hear that all time favorite song.

You would have to be a very shallow person to think one song could be your "favorite". I might be able to list a minimum of 100, but even that would be tough.

Yeah, narrowing a list down to even 20 would be tough.

Since my two buddies refused to list one song, I thought I would keep the thread going and hopefully get some songs out of them as well.
Basically, I'm just looking to see what people are REALLY inspired by... the music that has stuck to them and had the most meaning.
So how about you??

I enjoy and am inspired by all kinds of music. I am a musician that was classically trained at a very young age. As I get older I find that rediscovering the joy I get from listening to music from the 60's and 70's! When I write music I consider it an artistic expression.

Amazing story , there is speculation that the melody / music for this is stolen from a Jethro Tull song .

Although , Ian Anderson ( Jethro Tull ) is quoted as saying although the CORD SEQUENCE on" Hotel California "and their song" We Used To Know "
is the same , the songs are in different time signature and different KEY .

So he is being very nice about it , or has been told there is NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT .

Meh, its different to me... Same thing could be said about the guitar riff to Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4 being very similar to Led Zeppelin's Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You guitar riff. Same guitar riff, both excellent songs.

Ughhhh... One song... One of my all time favorites is "Gimme Shelter". As fitting today as it was in 1969. Really haunting piece imo just Pure raw emotion from all parts. Say what you will about The Rolling Stones but the proof is in the puddin 43 years later! :P

I doubt if I could even name my favorite song from any particular group I like. For example, Jethro Tull is one of my favorites. But how could I pick my favorite song of theirs? My cover band does "Aqualung" and I love to play it, but there are literally a hundred others that I could list as possible favorites. Truly an impossible task for me.
