@Branson_I've had offers to buy that song and one other one. If I sold to the person, it meant giving up my rights to claim it as my own. Brings back memories and that's not happening again.

Thank you and I'm glad you like it enough to downloaded it. Feedback on the song range for great, to good and mixed in some markets, not bad and I'll take that as a good effort.

Song is great but no album? :( Your vocals sound different on your songs. Unique and like! :D

Thanks! I grew up listening to all genres of music and my musical influences are various artists.

I will complete my album in time, no hurry. I go in studio and record when I line up musicians who want to work with me and who I like to work with. Not all musicians play in the style I want for my music so it's taking time. Some only want to work on their own songs or own groups, cool with me, it's about creating music for me and having fun while I'm doing it.

Sorry to be coming in late on this topic/lovefest. My ideal vocalist sings full bore, in other words, no affectations, not trying to be "cute," not being something they are not. If you care to listen to the tunes on my profile page you'll find my vocals, a blues shouting style, works best in the context of the song. If the lyrics are angry, don't sing like Johnny Mathis for example. I drive a microphone hard with power. I'm not pretty. Two of my favorite singers are Bill Blue and Bonn Scott. Nothing phoney with either guy. In your face, hard driving, bluesy. Don't be something you're not. People know the diference.

@fisherman bob_No prob, always an open invite and you're never late unless they close the thread.

I wouldn't call it a love fest, Branson has now become a fan of my music and for that I'm grateful that he appreciates it enough to purchase downloads and feature me on his profile. He has worked with some great singers who never made it to the top and he totally understands that a singer's voice is an instrument. Difference between "traditional" instruments and a voice is, voices get tired and sometimes when you're ill, you don't feeling 100%. I've done performances when I could barely keep my eyes open, had a cold and when I wasn't feeling well. The audience doesn't care if you're ill, the show must go on and they expect a great show.

Creepy? Hmmm! Finding this amusing, you have no clue "why" I'd sent him one. I'll let you all fill in the blanks on that one "without" benefit of correction on my part. (highly amused at your thoughts on this and smiling)

I have never worked with a singer that actually seemed passionate about their craft. I appreciate somebody with great pipes like Tom G and Ms. Betty Ponder, but have not worked with that. I've also never worked with somebody who actually had a good voice. One time it was the bass player's boy friend, and that was fun...

I can sing and know I can, but I'm so darn shy. When I was a kid I performed quite a bit vocally, but something snapped and I get a lot of anxiety about performing live. (puberty was fun)

I get a little nervous about playing guitar live, but it doesn't affect my performance. I think when it comes to performing, I have an easier time performing to a larger crowd than a handful of people.

With guitar you can sort of just shut off your mind and focus on the pushing of the sound waves as you enter a great musical trance. When you sing, you've got to actually perform. Dean Martin told jokes while singing, and I can't even hardly look at people when I sing.

I'm starting to rebuild some confidence as I have been working on my voice. Part of the confidence killer was hearing myself recorded, but after a while of having a good microphone and some good headphones, I've been focusing on my technique, studying about singing, and getting advice from everywhere.

I will say after a while of being solo, there is nothing better than working with people as passionate about music as you. I played with some of my bluegrass playing family last Thanksgiving, and even though we had never played together or rehearsed, you wouldn't have thought it by listening. It was a beautiful thing.

Ms.Betty,
No clue... really doesn't matter. My post was a general view of the back and forth between you and Branson... His adoration seems a bit overboard. I just haven't seen anything quite like this on a Music forum before...
Any which way I mean you no harm and wish you both health and happiness.
:P

@Jahva_Thanks for your input and I acknowledge your comments; but, we're both adults. On here like in real life, I live and let live. On here to have some smile moments, socialize, network and maybe make few friends along the way if that's possible and chat about shared interests in music and the industry in general. I don't get into speculation and I run from drama. He's harmless and nice guy from what I've come to know about him. First and foremost, he's friendly and he is indeed humble.
