Things haven't been the same since I mellowed, Paperdawg left! By the way he is doing well sends his regards and asked me to let MikeB know he was wrong about why he left? I just decided that nothing I say is going to change anyone's mind regarding their political leanings. I decided I'll just wait for the outcome and let the proof come to light. Besides I got tired of being the sacrificial bitch LOL!

1. His message is pure. He is calling out the idiots who waste their lives with drugs, alcohol, and dangerous sexual practices.
2. His simpleton cursing DETRACTS from his message.
3. His flow is fine but nothing special. There is nothing to separate him from his contemporaries other than his lyrics. Well, guess what. ALL components of a song need to be great for the song to be great. Lyrics, melodies (not in this song), phrasing, flow, dynamics (not much in this song), chord progressions, musicianship (not in this song), production.
4. His music is totally automated, lowest common denominator with NO MUSICIANSHIP. That makes him JUST LIKE the people he disses. It's totally keyboard generated. He is then the SHEEP he disses.
5. If you want to see intelligent lyrics WITH superb musicianship IN a rap song look back a few years. These guys rap, sing, rock, punk, inspire AND play their own instruments.

I think if the post had a better entry than "Real Music", it might have gotten better attention. Sad though when it comes down to my Dads bigger than your Dad syndrome.
About 1/2 of the people asking me to listen to their material is a Hip Hop/Rapper. Met some nice folks too, however it does get a little boring after a while even if my feet are tapping to it.
The rhythm is in the vocal, I'd just like to hear more dynamics, someone step away from the crowd and change it up some, perhaps sing and far less swearing.
Just my two cents, and no harm intended.

A get a few rappers/hip-hoppers adding me on reverbnation every week, I don't even listen to their music any more, it's all the same and I have no interest in it. I just add them, and comment to them - 'thanks...'
