Sorry guys, it is as I brought up a year ago.
The UN and the whole international community is guilty for allowing hussein to transfer his WMD to Syria. Convoys of massive size moved all this material to syria before the inspectors could verify any WMD.
Interesting, that it just happens to be sarin gas... The same gas used against the Kurds.
Flash forward... THIS IS DISGUSTING.

OK so what do we do????
For the first time in Obama's administration I am seeing a passing sensibility. (lets ask congress) ( I am very much in favor of many, deciding who we kill)

This is such a complicated issue. I DON'T HAVE an answer.

These people hate us... Both sides.

Any one else have any solutions?

Let them kill each other off.

My heart goes out to any "just" men whom may get caught up in the middle.

Bottom line both sides in this "civil war" are exceedingly evil in their intentions.

We have no business there.

Or ramp up and kill them all . . . nothing in between in acceptable.

Obama only desires to support the Muslim Brotherhood due to his hatred of Israel and America.

No involvement would be in consideration if not for that fact.

Assad must be punished. If Congress authorizes it we must surgically remove certain military targets in Syria. Hopefully minimal civilian casualties. No one likes or wants war, but some people can't be dealt with by talking to them.

I wish it were that simple, Jimmy. Any pinprick of "punishment' we deliver starts WWIII because Putin has already won the political PR war, and Assad is an evil man who wants to bring it on. He's daring Obama to do anything.

Syria’s government on Sunday mocked Mr. Obama’s decision, saying it was a sign of weakness. A state-run newspaper, Al Thawra, called it “the start of the historic American retreat,” and said Mr. Obama had hesitated because of a “sense of implicit defeat and the disappearance of his allies,” along with fears that an intervention could become “an open war.”

Israel will be who gets the brunt of any foolish moves we make. They aren't going to deliver a pinprick strike when that happens. That brings Iran in, and baby it's on...

We may as well plan a full invastion because that's all that will end it, once it starts...and we'll have to go all the way to Tehran. It also awakens all the sleeper cells in America.

Speaking of chemical weapons, I was hanging out with some guys in Warsaw last night from a band called Chemia (Chemistry in Polish). A few of them play with the Polish singer I have been telling you guys about since last August. Anyway, they are coming to the states for more recording at Bryan Adams studio in Vancouver. And yes, I realize Canada isnt "The states" but they will be playing all over.

You cannot "punish" Assad without assisting the Muslim Brotherhood.

It's akin to stepping into a war between two drug Lords . . . why ?

If they will not come to talk peace, let them kill each-other . . . it can only help the overall global situation.

So if two druglords were having a war and innocent children were being killed you would be good with that? If it's only soldiers fighting I agree, just let them kill each other. But using chemical weapons to kill women and children crosses a line we cannot ignore.

Jimmy . . . deep breath here . . . over 100,000 civilians died before the chemical weapons were applied, is that somehow different & OK in your morality?

The only way to stop it . . . is for US to KILL THEM ALL . . .

Are you OK with that ?

But what about this:

Some Chem weapons containers were found to have come from Saudi Arabia - what a surprise eh. There is a fair to even chance that the Al Queda bums that Zero wants to help screwed up and detonated one by accident.

Be advised - this is not about us. It is about Sunni and Shia. Syria and Iran on one side - with big brother Ivan. Qatar and Saud on the other with big brother Sam. (they've bought our politicians and media btw)

So I'll ask one very hard question: if the Muslims are willing to massacre each other over differences that are vague to us - why shouldn't I then, choose my home team? That is, the 2.5 million Christians in Syria that Zero wants destroyed.

History:

Clinton destroyed the Christian community in Kosovo
Bush Jr. destroyed the Christian community in Iraq
Zero tried to destroy the Christian community in Egypt and now he is trying the same thing in Syria.

I'd add that Syria fought at our side with an entire armored division in the first Gulf War. The Serbs fought at our side in two world wars. Egypt has been an ally for decades and had the only real peace deal with Israel. Iraq was our proxy in ten years of war against Iran - we gave them chem weapons and now weep crocodile tears because they used them. Sheesh...

So what is the lessons here:

It is extremely dangerous to be an ally of the United States.

You can destroy the world trade center (Al queda - with Saudi operatives) and we'll pretend to be all pissed off. Many good people will join our military to fight Al Queda.

Our leaders will then use those poor fools to help Al Queda and destroy Christian communities.

Ok...

note - I don't care much for any of those ME countries or their rulers but here is Talbot's definition of freedom: I can worship as I please, own a firearm and buy a drink.

Where ever our govt has intervened - those three things existed but were taken away. That's right folks, even nasty old Sadaam allowed Jews and Christians to live in peace and own full automatic weapons. Unlike here...just sayin'...

Now let's get back to murdering Syrians - after all our leaders want to do it and they are infinitely wiser than us.

Anything Obama is for, you guys are against. Check. I get it. You guys never got over the fact that a black man was elected president. Twice. Put aside your racism, this about children being gassed, or are you all so blinded by your hate? I laugh when you people say you're Christians. You are all hypocrites, and I don't think Jesus would like you much.

So you think we should support Al Queda? That's what it comes down to.

And spare me the racism crap. Nobody cares anymore. Apparently anyone who disagrees with Zero is a racist. So no, I don't care what you call me. Obama is trash - and I include his white half in that if it makes you feel better.

Assad and the Syrian army, without chemical weapons, already have decimated most of the rebels, who will not be able to last to the end of the year without a whole lot of overt assistance from some major outside players.

The poison gas is most likely from black ops setting up a ready made pretext to give the rebels more help.

The gas used by Saddam against the Kurds was supplied to him by the USA to use against Iran. It was not considered a "moral obscenity" at that time apparently. We did not complain too much anyway.
http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national ... cks/68698/

Sunnis are being played against Shiites, yes 'divide to conquer'... but that is not "what this is all about".

It's about competing gas pipelines and bringing down Iran next after Assad is ousted. Image

Thereafter the Syrian people will enjoy the same quality of life now enjoyed by others whom we have "helped" with humanitarian interventions.

Like Libya!

Or Iraq

Solution? Stop the pirates who run our country from trying to subjugate other countries!!!

I tend to agree with Vinny and Talbot on this. It's a complicated issue that ranges far wider than chem weapons. Time to stay the heck out of it.

We have been playing good cop/bad cop in the ME since 1990 Desert Storm and accomplished nothing. Time to let Germany, France, and Spain step in with their own soldiers on the front lines in support of human rights in Syria if they wish. Let's not get lured into another bed of quicksand by media cries backed by those with business interests in continuous war making. This is a sucker play and a trap.

McCain and other top Republicans have met with Obama and now have a unified message: we must not ignore the situation in Syria. The Republicans are pushing for more than just punishing Assad, they want a regime change. So now you guys don't have to directly support Obama, your guys are rallying with the President, unless you think McCain is a traitor (I'm waiting for that one Yod).

I hate being right all the time, it's a lonely job lol.

JimmyD you are smarter than that - you are trying to lump opposition to Zero with support for Republicans and damn it, you know that for many of us that is most certainly not true.

McCain? Please. He is bought and paid for, like so many of those scum, by the Saudis. "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb Iran." That was his idea of a joke. For some reason, I'm not laughing.

Being called a Democrat or Republican, is to me, like being called a pervert or serial killer. They are not good people and they are simply two sides of the same disgusting coin.
