Just an FYI; US Copyright office is now quoting 3-4 months process time, but once you write/record something, just put the copyright symbol on any copies (youtube, etc), and you're good to go.

It only costs $35 to copyright a whole album worth of tunes (assuming the same person(s) wrote all the songs). Waste of money - maybe, but kind of like insurance, hopefully you'll never need it, but if you do ...

@Branson_I'll take your word for it and I think it's great!
Some of the nicest musicians I've worked with and known have been humble.
Check out this link: http://sbmp.com/ComposerPage.php?ComposerNum=101
That's the same person who was gracious enough to lend his amazing keyboard skills to the three songs I currently have on itunes and Amazon. He's just one of the many great and humble musicians on the planet. I feel blessed to have had the pleasure of working briefly with him in studio.

Just throwing in my 2 cents:
I think that the problem is that there are too many people out there that don't sing well but they get false feedback from their friends. I know some really bad singers who honestly think that they can hold a tune and will blame everything from the mic to the sound guy for their lack of talent. I also know some singers who can hit every note, but sound like they are reading a shopping list. There's no passion in their singing and they can't seem to figure out that half of the impact of the performance comes from the feeling that they bring to the song.
The prevalence of these types of singers in the industry and the simple fact that, until you actually try them out on stage or in studio, you really don't know what you're going to get makes it difficult to give anyone the benefit of the doubt...

For TomG_Vocal
That is a comment of someone who is not constructive or positive. Singers are sometimes only as good as the musicians backing them and in your case, I'd be willing to say, that's happening.

Ms. Ponder why did you copyright? Just putting that out there and no rush to answer.

@Branson_I have it copyrighted because on my first journey into this industry, I had written some songs that the studio thought would be great for someone else who was higher up the fame ladder(Person didn't make it eventually). My songs were literally stolen from me and copyrighted by someone else. I had no proof that I wrote them and I was out of luck and cried for months. So I copyright all, the time stamp on computer isn't proof, it's whoever gets it to the Library of Congress first. That person "owns" the rights even if you worked for months on it.
Please forgive this stereotypical view of you and who you are for a brief moment and it is a compliment. I usually wouldn't say this.
I've met guys like you who have looks that make women swoon and nervous and most were into themselves. You aren't that way at all. Read some of the articles and more articles(smiling here) and posts you forwarded and now the feeling of being "intrigued" is mutual.
Thanks for all the nice comments in regards to vocalists. Being a vocalist isn't easy and one of my pet peeves is paying studio musicians who have years of experience and should be able to play songs they've practiced and be ready to go when they hit the studio but aren't and hit bad notes. In studio, time is money for producers and me who hired them to come and play.
I admire great musicians who have great attitudes that equal their skills. I love playing with positive people who love to make music and are fun. If I can't find that, I'd rather stay at home. Have the best day you possibly can. Virtual hugs to you and may you keep on being nice as you are on here and have read of you.

I sit and wait for response and smile when you come back to answer my questions. Big shock moment you read articles I sent week ago. Did not know if you read or delete.
My pleasure to give compliments singers are not a dime a dozen and plenty amazing singers on planet head of my list would start would you.

I copyright my songs as I have released the albums. At $35, its like insurance - you hope you never need it, but ...

It's better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
@Branson_Took your advice and uploaded a sample of one of my own.
