I know I kinda of invaded Jimmys thread on what Im up too, but last night I got a little tipsey, and I wired all my effects into one long run into my POD PRO preamp, didnt even use and amp and laid down the lead harmonys on the tune Im doing man, it is so thick sounded its just crazy.

Lets see I did the rythym guitar with my ES-135 thru my mesa, with a gritty sound, close mic and distant mic and panned them right and left.

Then for some reason I got my Strat out, I ran it into my Roland Recorder and dialed in an amp thru it, for the main lead line.

After that was when it got interesting.

I kicked an octave down on my whammy pedal, then dialed in a reverse deal and played the lead line an octave higher than the first in stereo, then kinda backed it out of the mix so it gives the main line this ambient sound.

Then I said what the hell and started paging thru all the amp tones Ive dialed into the POD PRO and found this massive sounding one and laid down another stereo harmony line.

I faded them all together and the guitar tone is probably one of the biggest Ive put down in a while.

So theres 2 rythym tracks and 5 lead harmony guitar tracks, just sounds massive, maybe too much.

Then at the end of the song, the two harmony lines on the fade of the song, I just did this Hendrix fadeout with these guitar washes.

I relistened this morning to make sure the beer didnt overcome the recording, but it sounds killer, I just have to get a final mix of everything.

But im pretty stoked, since the wife and I split, I have just turned my house into a big recording studio. My man cave!

Mike she would say it was a big misunderstanding on my part, but it had been brewing for a while.

Actually I accepted a gig with a band, she didnt like it, for some reason she thought that when my old bass player left I would just stop forever. DUH, Ive only been playing music since puberty!!!!!!!

So Im going to take a nap before this gig, she comes in the bedroom and says Im going to go home, Im loading up my rabbits, we had 5 of them and take them home, I just said ok, make sure you close the door so I can get a nap. She says I will be back next week for the rest of my stuff.

I take about a 3 hour nap and shes still stomping around the house, I ask do you need help loading the bunnys, she says no Ive got it, so Im outside and she goes to her car and says well Ive got everything for this trip. I said are you sure this is what you want to do, leave. She said yes Im going home, I said OK.

So she heads down the driveway, and when she turned to go her way, I just said well thats it, Im done, not going to keep playing these games.

So I dont hear anything from her for 2 days, I dont call or text, finally she calls and says we need to talk, I said yea when are you coming to get the rest of your sh*t. She said I wasnt serious about leaving you, I was just upset and thinking crazy.

I said Ang thats the problem you think bat sh*t crazy 24/7. Ive had a very peaceful couple of days and Im done, so when are you coming.

She tried to weasel back in with me, for a few days, but I just kept saying look Im done.

Theres way more to the whole story, a couple of days later my ex wife calls and needs to come and talk to me about my daughter. Im thinking oh hell here comes some more legal BS with her.

She comes to my house and says we need to talk, when they say that I dont know wheres its going, but its ussually in a direction I dont care for so, so I said OK shoot.

Well she had checked herself into some sort of mental facility for a couple of weeks and needed for my daughter to come stay with me, which, I was glad to do. So for the past few weeks, my daughter has been with me, she ussually stayed with her mom more, plus if my current wife was still there, it wouldnt be near as pleasant as it has been.

So Ive got my great room decorated as a recording studio, I have ways to record silently and loudly, so if I get the urge to lay down a guitar or bass track at 2 am, I just go silent, if I get a chance during the day when noone is around, I can go and just crank the crap out of my amps.

I dont know how long I will stay in this mode, cause I love women and Im sure some other bimbo with big hooters, tied tubes and nice smile will come along and get me sidetracked, but for now, Im going to try and record as many things as I can.

Sorry Jimmy, im in a venting ranting mood, as you can tell.

One things for sure Jimmy. When I get involved with another woman if she doesnt like me playing music, she can hit the road. Im just too old for someone to try and "change" me at this point.

Youve been thru it too, so you know what Im talking about.

Im just glad to start feeling back to my normal self again.

Women think that men are the clay to be molded.
(forget it, honey.)

What you are looking for is a best friend, not a lover.
I think that's what they mean by "great relationship", although I always meet the women that come bearing clay shaping tools. lol

Luck, JW, I wish you much Luck.
