Germany, England, Poland (recording a new CD there) sounds like fun, eh?
I'd love to cancel it all and watch the Hall of Fame game between the Cowboys and the Dolphins this weekend while chewing on some good ole' Texas BBQ instead.
It will be fun and an unforgettable adventure (again)...but my butt's already sore thinking about the long plane rides.
Oy!
Yes, couldn't agree more. Did you actually listen to anything I had posted online here and there?
You have to play with people that have the ability to turn ideas into sounds, if the people cant do it then you need people that can.

My post about digital is more for people who do not see digital media as just another tool in the hands of an artist. Just like a drum kit, a guitar or a violin. If an artist (composer / producer) cant play say a violin or a flute nowadays it does not mean that this artist can't make a record with flute or violin and hand an MP3 and a PDF with notes to a hired professional violinist to play. That is awesome. In my unprofessional opinion it is much better then meeting in a rehearsal room and trying to explain your bandmates: "Ok, let's jam in Em for an hour. You play boo boo boo, and while he does that you do trum trum". Which then ends up in a jam session, nothing is accomplished at the end and everyone goes home with false feeling of satisfaction of an evening well spent.
Besides, it is fun to hear you ideas sound back at you in the form you wanted them to sound in the first place.
