I use lures and rarely do fish swallow them. I just unhook them and throw them back. So you don't have to worry about killing the fish. Years ago I caught the same rainbow trout about ten times over the course of two years. I know it was the same fish because it had an unusual mark on its side. That's what I call a game fish. A couple of years back I caught a small crappie. I foul hooked it on its back. When I went to take the lure out the line broke and the fish swam away with my lure on its back. Damn. About two years later I was fishing the same spot and hooked another crappie. As it got closer I noticed something funny looking on its back. As I pulled it out I realized it was the exact same fish I caught with my lure stuck in its back. The funny part is the second time I caught it I was using the exact same lure (Mepps size 0 aglia). This time I got both lures out and the fish swam away as usual. So GA chances are very good we won't be killing any fish. Later...
Lol. That is a funny story, Fisherman Bob. I cannot believe you have had fish that haunt you, that is strange. They just keep on coming back, as if one time of near death was not enough.
Yeah, I am not a killer, so yeah that is good that I would not have to kill a fish.
Who knows, maybe it would not bother me.
Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

I'm looking to getting the audio on my computer fixed so I can listen to most everybody's music they have on their Bandmix profile pages. I'm not much of a computer geek. I probably should take a few weeks off and learn more about computers. It's got to help me with my music and day gig (I restore cabinets for a living). Anyway thanks for the interest. I enjoy reading your posts. Good luck. Later...
Bob,
You'll be in for a treat when you get your computer in "listening mode" Listening to the Bandmix forum brothers and sisters has become a favorite pastime for me. A lot of good players here. As a blues man, I can tell ya you would probably want to kidnap "Jon Nilson" or young "Mike Gentry" for your band. Hell, even the "metal heads" sound good!
As far as myself, My bassist son and I hooked up with a good drummer through Bandmix. We have a line on a sax man and were going to get together with him in a few weeks. Meanwhile, we've been knockin' down 15 songs a practice in the three rehearsals we had as a trio. Things are lookin' good. (We practice once a week at the drummers house and he only lives a few miles down the road! WE do a variety of music. The idea is to get out playing fast....later

"home bodies" and stay relatively close to the same spot. Years ago I kept hooking this large trout in the same hole and losing it. It took me two years until I finally caught it. It was a big holdover brown trout 3 and a half pounds. I heard a story of a fisherman who kept hooking a very large pike and the fish kept breaking his line. After about four years he finally caught the fish. It had eight of his lures hanging from its mouth. It was about thirty pounds. Fish don't necessarily "haunt" me, they just keep falling for the same lure over and over again. Sooner or later I'm going to catch it, there's no escaping me. It's like a hunter who stalks a particular quarry until its caught (I don't hunt at all.) Anyway, tomoorow (Valentine's Day) I go on the radio with my CD for a half hour (3:30 central time) on KKFI 90.1 FM. You might be able to get the station on streaming audio on the web (KKFI.org?). Basically it's good for a little publicity. Hopefully the radio station will make a little money off me. They did last year. Later...

I checked kkfi 90.1 out. You should be on at 4.30 fot me(E.S.T.). I can't seem to get any audio as yet, but I'll have my wife (my personal computer adviser) work on it. Hopefully, I'll be giving ya a listen!
Now back to "fishin'!
Back when I was a lad, and my dad still walked the earth, we engaged in a strange kind of fishing called (ironically) "bobbing for eels" on the Delaware River. Ever hear of it? If not, here's the procedure. First, some custom tackle has to be fabricated. This entails taking a stiff wire about 8 inches long, peaning flat one end, and punching a hole in the flat. This tool (basically a big needle) is used to skewer the bait (night-crawlers), end to end on a length of very strong nylon thread. the worm string looks like a string of sausages after this procedure. Next, after removing the "needle", you roll the whole thing up into a ball and wrap more nylon thread around the exterior. Next, take a pole about 6 feet long (my dad used an old golf green flag pole), and tie the "bait ball" securely to to the pole, and there you have it! Here's how to fish with a bob pole. Take your boat out on the river at night when the eels are running. Anchor at a spot where you can touch bottom with the baited pole, and raise it up about 6 inches. Before long, the eels will start hitting on that worm ball and their teeth get stuck in the line. You then raise the pole and vigorously shake the eel off into the bottom of the boat! No tangled lines. I don't know what the regulations say about the limits to an eel catch these days, but back then we would come home with 50 to 100!. Good eatin' . If your interested, I'll teach you how to skin em'. ..later
