My band, The Cosmonauts, is looking for lead guitar player in the NYC area. We play a variety of different music, but our main sound is hunkered down in a Stones-esque type swing that is a bit funky. The band consists of myself singing lead vocals and back up guitar, a bassist who sings backup vocals, and a drummer. We practice once a week on average for 4-6 hours in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, and play out in the NYC area about once a month, sometimes more. We have a good local following and have been doing 50+ at the doors consistently in major Manhattan venues.

We are all serious and professional musicians who are pursuing a recording deal collectively as a band. That said, we're laid back guys who love playing music. Our practice sessions are long, but they're always a blast and we knock back a few beers during them.

Our influences include: The Rolling Stones, Led Zep, The Beatles, The Clash, The Smiths, Roots Reggae, Joy Division, 70s Funk - especially Nile Rogers, Prince, and much more

Requirements:
- Ages 20-35
- Punctual and professional
- Stable financially and able to pay for band related costs such as rehearsal time etc
- Versatile, technical, and creative guitar playing.
- Must be able to tear on lead lines and play excellent rhythm guitar.

I posted a couple of unfinished mixes from our upcoming album that is in the process of mixing/mastering. These can be heard @ http://cosmonautradio.bandcamp.com/

If we look like a good fit, shoot us a line at band@cosmonautradio.com with any links to recorded guitar playing, etc

Thanks for taking a look,
Arun
