Very elementary, Go into a music store and play each. The one you prefer is the one to buy. I never judge a guitar by its price or brand name. I have had cheap guitars under $200 that waxed guitars costing 3 times as much. There is no such thing as "slanty eyed" wood. Korean guitar makers are every bit as competent as American guitar makers. Sometimes the care and quality are even better.

The instrument should be your only consideration. Its tone and playability should even trump its looks or brand.

Be advised that the Rhoads has a wider fingerboard, probably because he liked classical guitars.
Wider, as in more space between the strings, not thickness.

Easy for me - not over impressed by Ibanez and not comfortable with Flying V. So i'd go for this:

Always liked the Explorer types. May just grab one.

git you an Ibanez Jem and you will love it, a mite pricey, but easy to play and sounds better than a strat
