Sounds like a job for my rainbow strap! Not that there's anything wrong with that!

When you're slinging a real solid, not chambered, Les Paul for about 4 hours at a time, personally speaking, you're much better off with a nice, thick leather strap with some sort of cushioning on the shoulder area... I once forgot mine and substituted a nylon Fender strap and I was dying by the middle of the first set.... For my Fenders, it don't matter what strap...

That's why I was glad I got the leather strap I had. I bought a Lotus LP copy at a pawn shop, went down the street and found a case that was perfect, case happened to have the leather strap inside. I tried one of the thin nylon ones for one night...that's all it took...

I used to think cheap straps were the way to go......

and then my very expensive Jem7 (when it first came out in the 90s) fell to the ground!

on the bright side, since then I know very expensive Ibanez guitars are made with very cheap basswood! HA!

I love my Planet Waves locking straps! I have two. One leather and the other one made out of vinyl. They lock on good and you don't need to drill any holes in your guitar.

I just got one of those yesterday and was very disappointed when it wouldn't go on my Breedlove because of the button placement. And no, I'm not going to move the button, but rather return the strap or give it to a friend who has a guitar with buttons on the back.

I love the back button placement of my pet.

Never knew it would make so much difference.

The button placement on the Taylor is strange, too - it's on the neck heel, but facing down at an angle.
I ordered the Taylor suede strap, had a Sweetwater gift certificate from my wife to cover it.

My strap is tooled leather with the widest point on the shoulder being 4". It looks great and it spreads the load of a heavy guitar evenly.

I was going to post a pic but that doesn't work well with win 98. I put locking clips on both ends so I need not worry about going home with the body of my guitar in one hand and the neck in the other.

I have had that strap for over 50 years and the leather tooling on the pattern is still razor sharp. A friend of mine taught me how to make it, and he sure did know his stuff.

That's the only strap I will ever need. Now guitars are another story. A musician can't have enough of those.

I like to have a strap for each guitar when playing live so I can just swap with no messing around.
