HA! Yup, you gotta have yer "guitar string break" songs at the ready. When I was playing in Stonecircle, our guitarist broke strings so often that the other players had their stock jokes about it memorized. My favorite one was by our flutist who would say (while George the guitarist was tuning a new string) "our guitarist would now lke to play for you a very ancient and traditionally loved Chinese piece - 'Tu Ning' ".

It's a shame when you put a band together that you have to be the one that leaves it to keep your sanity. After 5 solid months,I don't want to keep on the guys like a nagging, whatever,so if they are having fun then I will go elsewhere cause I'm not having fun. So,Eddie, there's an opening in EXIT 20.My last gig will be Sept.23,a week past my original departure, but they can't find a replacement. They are using a fill in through the rest of the year from another band.As for me,I'm starting up another band.Just need a bassist.Thats like finding a female vocalist :D

617 area code...978 here...but I use to work at a small music store in davis square down the street from johnny d's...just wanted to say hi neighbor :D

about tuning between songs not being professional...fwiw I gave that nonsense up 30 years ago when I was in jr high school...I use about 8 or 9 different tunings on a regular basis...what do I do? bring 10 guitars with me? hire a tech to tune for me?...being out of tune is unprofessional, people who critcize my tuning aren't keeping it real...keeping it real is proffesional and tuning your ax is reality folks...if people judge you on that either you're awesome and they're just looking for something or they just don't get it...either way, I'm tuning my ax (sometimes you don't even know it)...;)

Do you remember ....Jumbo's.....from back in the day? I agree with your theory on tuning, just don't remember how my thread got on the subject of tuning <grin> I'm a drummer, but like all drummer's, I'm a closet guitar player :) Later bro Eddie B. I made many a Bad recording at Gary Smith's studio on Moody. I was also on the famous compilation album that he made back in the 80's. Boy does that bring back memories...... Have played at the Rendesvou on Moody about a 1,000 times.....Spent thousands of dollars at Dom's Music. Still play an old Tama kit that I bought there........Two good friends of mine eventually bought that place, ........called it, Center Stage Music Only lasted about 2 years..................Remember The Dumpster Bunny's
