With all due respect Craig, do you think I was born yesterday? Lol.

I knew I recognized that name, the second I saw it I thought "Chappaquiddick." I was right, lol. Yeah, so as I said, foolish, if not pathetic. I like Edward (Ted) Kennedy, but that was a really bad thing that happened there. He cost that girl her life.

That family is full of lunatics, but then again, it is also where John F. Kennedy came from (Who also was not free of sin apparently), and we know he did a lot of good for this country.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

1969,
I remember it well. I often say that Teddy's two favorite people ought to be Neal Armstrong and Charlie Manson. Kinda kept him on the second page. God bless Mary Jo. I haven't forgotten her.

Perhaps you did not know that John F. Kennedy almost started World War 3, by jumping the gun w/ the Cuban missile crisis? That story didn't break til decades later; people never knew just how close we came . . .
You would'nt remember the school drills - how (if an atomic exploshion was expected) we had to get under our desks and keep our eyes closed so as not to be blinded . . .
"Row, row, row . . .'
Krushav is not someone you play chicken with. We were lucky he blinked . . .
.
I've got to stop reading this thread - I've been sucked-into talking about politics, dammit!
I HATE politics!

Welcome to the Twilight Zone, RhythmMan. This never ending episode is about politics.

Enjoy.

Seriously speaking: Yeah, I never knew people did not know that they were that close until you said that. My grandfather said it seemed pretty close to him when it happened.

*Shrugs*

Well, I still say he was a great President, especially compared to the crap we have had with the Bush family.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Yeah, Ted Kennedy's drunken foolishness cost one innocent person their life.

Bush's NON-drunken (?) foolishness cost the lives of over 4,000 US service personel and almost a million Iraqis.

NEXT.............

^God ain't that the truth, Irminsul. Bush has cost us many more lives.

But I guess whether it is one death or a million deaths it is horrible. No one should have to die at the hands of another because that person is stupid.

I dont think anyone gets to be our President by being stupid, maybe misled by cabinet members, but stupid no. Thats not saying I agree with the Presidents policys.

I think Teds involvement in that girls death would be called stupid. If they had come down on him like they would you or me, he might not be a Senator, just a footnote in history.

One thing Ive learned in life is you can bitch and moan about whats been done in the past all day long, but the only thing you can do is learn from mistakes and move on.

GA, if you feel so strongley about politics maybe you should quit hanging around guitar sites and get on some political sites. Music is for kids and us older folks trying to stay young, Politics are the games grown ups play.

Since you are headed into Medicine what is your take on mandated or universal health care? As a small business owner who provides health care for his employees, once the government gets involved all I see is my health care cost going thru the roof. From where I stand this will hit me in the pocket a lot more than any war will.

JW123, if my understanding of the medical system in this country is right (I have to do some research, I do not know the technicalities of the system, only the basics), then I support universal healthcare.

As much as it would strike business owners in the pocket, it does not matter to me (No offense). Let me explain why I support it:

My mother has SLE, also known as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. We cannot afford insurance in my family, it is too costly, and she cannot get any healthcare, the hospitals turn you away, the clinics want tons of money down, and the doctors refuse to see you.

Let me explain something else, about that disease. It is a terminal illness if not treated right. It effects the organs of the body and completely eradicates the immune system. This is where my knowledge comes in, I know this disease very well. I have studied it rather thoroughly. Her illness and my grandfathers severe cardiac problems are what have driven me to step into the medical field.

I want to see my mother have the ability to have care, I want to see it before she winds up in a hospital bed with doctors, who do not care (Because they are not getting paid properly), trying to save her life. It is a seriously disease and I have dedicated myself to becoming a Biomedical Engineer as to find a cure for it, or at least something to quell the symptomatology.

I am very staunch on changing the health system in this country, it is not fair that people without insurance have to suffer because doctors are so God darn cheap. I vow never to be like the doctors of now, I will put my heart into it and never just turn away from helping people because it does not favor me. And before anyone says it, yes I know the hospitals have strong policies, and I know there are rules, and I know it could cost me a lot of money in the end, but it is all a chance I am willing to take.

I will get into medical school, even though I do not have my GED now, do not think just because I am sitting here typing this I am not going to get it. I am going to become a doctor and save some people in this world before it is too late.

So yes, now you can see where my passion for medicine comes from. I am a medical transcriptionist, that is my job. I am actually probably one of the youngest there has been in a while I bet, I am only 19, and I started when I was 18. It is not an easy job and requires a lot of patience, and knowledge.

-----------------------

In response to the political thing, yes, I like talking about politics, but only in a controlled circumstance. That is why I am fine here on a music forum, the subject is seldom to be brought up - but when it does I am willing to participate in the discussion.

That is my take on it...

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Muslim extreamist want you dead they dont want to talk.
Twin Towers fell due to fire. Not explosions.
Liberals want to enjoy the rights they are afraid to defend. But they dont want anyone else to enjoy rights just them. Thats why they (in general ) Do not support the Military that keeps them free. Support the murder of unborn children. Want to have armed gaurd surronding them at all times but dont want other to be able to defend themselves. Want to have free health care. (nothing is free). Want me to walk to work while they fly around on private jets talking bullshit about carbon footprints. Believe or simply for monitary gain propigate the lie that the reason earths climite is changing is due to man. I say why dont we set the whole damn world free and allow each man to make his own choices and the make him responsable for that choice. Naw Its allways someone elses fault. Back in 76 the same bunch of faggots were saying we were going into an ice age everybody panic and vote for me.

I was employed by Mobil Oil Corp for over 10 years. I know first hand how much wanton waste is involved. Yet I believe in the FREE interprise system. I just dont believe anyone wants the GOV. telling you how much money you can make. Watch all the advertisements now a days closely.
You will notice the companies and groups like the AMA who want National Health care are the ones who want to have a guarenteed income from your taxes. I work in the hospital and they will spend millions on advertisement while they tell me they cant afford more employees. The members of the Board are milionares, Get a raise and a bonus annually. when they need health care they get private suets and staff on a seperate floor from everyone else.
But they are losing money , cant afford adiquate staff to meet the patients needs? Do you think it's a good idea for these people to be on the government take? The last thing we need is the GOV screwing up more stuff and perpetuating greed.

Sanshouheil, what is your job in the hospital, if you do not mind me asking?

I think this whole government is corrupt as far as taxes and salaries go. Look at these CEO's, last year I heard one of them (I do not know which) earned a bonus of $250 million dollars... For what? Because he managed a business... Jesus already. Too much money is paid to some of these people. I mean I understand the fact that the company is earning a ton of money and he is behind it so he should get good pay, well that is true, but must it be so f**king insanely high?

Excuse my language.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
