I found this video of Girl Scout Hand Grenade at Dirtfest 2006. You can see me at the beginning on the left taking pictures, then again at 2:25 trying to avoid the mosh pit. Hard to believe that was seven years ago.

Evidence that even chicks can do a cookie monster vocal and sound just as bad.

Yeah Tonya is a real bad-ass chick! She's smart and sexy and can do death metal vocals better than anyone. I guess the band was auditioning vocalists and she said "I can do that" and sure enough she tried it and got the job. The band went through some tough stuff, Andrew the bass player got cancer and had to quit, and then the drummer quit. They got new people but I think they ended the band a couple of years ago.

Funny aside, a couple of guys started Dirtfest about 13 years ago. They got a permit for a concert and just set up a table in a field with some sound gear and turntables. Over the years it has grown and now has national acts that play at it (I saw Black Dahlia Murder there, awesome) as well as local original metal acts.

I am sure she is reasonable if you can tolerate that music.
(I almost called it "noise".)

I'd rather throw my equipment in the chipper than play that genre.

The funny thing is, she can do that all night and her throat is fine. She also slips in her sexy "feminine voice" once in a while. Cool people, we used to do shows with them occasionally, I hope they can get back to the music someday.
