Stop saying "we", use the word "I" because I am pretty sure someone will show up who might be able to help. Someone who isn't your typical angry middle aged hard rocker.

"We" is not acceptable. "I" is much more acceptable because it's much more personal and it allows me to move on to the next person, whereas "we" implies that there isn't anybody on this site at all who can help.

Part of what I'm looking for requires me to learn about a wide variety of things, and make good solid connections. This includes learning about other music showcase sites similar to this one that have a good forum, having discussions with other musicians with similar music tastes about various venues in Baton Rouge that I can try, learning about some officially named bands and unofficially named bands in my area that play pop and soft rock music among many other things.

Again, do I have to keep saying it? Use the word "I". It's much more personal and doesn't rule out everybody. You can keep saying it all you want, I'm still going to keep trying. I am not giving up on this site just yet.

I am completely out of the loop on what else is out there, both globally and specific to Baton Rouge in terms of good quality places to search for casual musicians. And I also just want to learn about bands in my area. Stop trolling and give the people I would like to recieve help from a chance to show up.

What is so wrong about wanting to learn from other's experiences and learning about something that's right for me. Like PinK says, "where there is desire, there is going to be a flame, where there is a flame someone's bound to get burned, but just because it burns doesn't mean your going to die, you gotta get up and try, try try."

I'm getting burned a lot by a lot of trolls on this site, Baton Rouge Rocks and Craigslist. Is that stopping me? No! I'm going to keep on trying, but of course, I won't be posting anything anytime soon, so don't worry so mcuh.

Don't you people have anything better to do? None of my threads would be train wrecks if guys like you didn't come to these board to make jokes, and make fun of others! Again, you guys are making a huge deal out of nothing! Instead of quietly reviewing the various bullet points, and responding using common sense, I get response after response from people who just want a quick laugh. The same exact thing happened on Baton Rouge Rocks.


Only one person responded with a cool head, and with a mature attitude, but it didn't help because she was just "sharing my pain".

Why are you using the word "we"? You should use the word "I" because it allows me to move to another person rather than ruling out EVERYBODY on this forum, who might be able to shed some light on new music developments in my area.

Why are you guys against me asking around, and wanting to learn from other people's experiences before I try any given thing?
