I have been on here for a little while and have only received a few offers, but unfortunately they were all metal bands and I'm not looking to play metal.

I know they aren't amazing covers and the quality isn't great, but seeing as I'm not getting any feedback can you guys just tell me if the vocals sound ok? I'm in the process of buying better recording equipment but is it that bad? Should I even bother getting recording equipment lol?

Anyway you can find some recordings on my bandmix page.

Thanks

Going to be real and raw here.

The examples on your page are not helping you.

If you were in my geographic region.
If I were seeking a vocalist.
If you had some interest in my project.

Yeah, I'd have you audition with the band in a live setting because it would be the right thing to do.
Not based on what you have posted.

It's tricky . . . and mind you I'm no vocalist.
But to be honest, the samples on your page a technically horrid.
Better recordings are a must my friend.

Sorry to interject, but I just wanted to point out how nice of a response that was. Why can't I recieve responses from people with this kind of attitude?

You have . . . many times . . . from many people . . . through many trip to this forum.
But the advice you get is not what your ego wanted so you continuously reject it.
Go back into history past Clifford . . . read them for yourself.
I & others tell you the truth from our point of view. . . you can't accept it . . . you get your knickers in a knot and make excuses.
Vicious cycles like that wear on even the most patient of men.

Take note of how this other young man takes the advice and wills to utilize it .
He gives it effort, not excuses.

Hi Musicispassion!

I listened to your covers and I particularly like the Lumineers cover. Your vocal abilities are off to a good start but may I suggest taking some vocal coaching and pitch training? I think some direction with breathing and properly using your diaphragm will give your voice a stronger presence and help you stay in pitch. Find a coach that will introduce you to intervals and relative pitch exercises. I think investing in lessons will better benefit you than purchasing objects and gear. As I am not a vocalist but a guitarist, I think some of the experienced vocalist in this forum will agree that, just a few sessions with a vocal coach, will go a long way.
