Due to popular demand- A few changes are in order:

Wanted Girls For Rock Band- No experience necessary. Hell, as long as you know your E string from your D string- you're in.

Bring the whole family along, and pets are ok too.

Since there are no female musicians on bandmix from the area in which the band will actually be- it doesn't matter where you're from. Hell, you don't even need to speak English.

Although there probably won't be any takers for this ad because, um, there's nobody on here from my area. However the boys like to stop by on occasion and, you know, shoot the breeze, and give me lots of advice.

As you can see below, the lads were getting a little cranky about the original ad, therefore a few changes were in order. Oh and by the way- I don't possess any degrees in music theory.

The chick singers I've worked with (that were worth a damn) would see that message with the 'G String' quote and that would be that - why would any one reply to such an uncool ad?

If you're lucky you might recruit some rough trade with a lot of tattoos and a straight razor. Better be nice to her!

It's obvious you've had some issues with chick singers - but I have to say that male singers can be just as big a pain in the ass.

You've got NO ONE lined up and you are searching for full group of girls in that area? I put that right up there with the CL ads for 'photo models'.

My job is to promote the band- but in actuality I think I will have to produce the recordings, do the sound for stage, and teach those who don't know how to read music, instruct the difference in keys, set up contracts, and a dozen other things I am sure will come up. In short a producer/manager/promoter, and fix-it guy. You girls get to play the music and get famous.

If you can pretty much write, produce and transcribe the music, can't you just hire the female musicians? Your goal can be achieved faster. I have some connection through ASCAP or BMI in NYC. I can forward to them your demos. :)

Hiring musicians is rather expensive. Forming a band is time consuming, but but it isn't enormously expensive. That's a recording option though- just hiring a singer. Just giving the idea of a band a shot- but considering the area I am from that is a long, long, long shot. I could probably round up musicians from a local college much easier than on bandmix. But hey, you never know.

DAAAYYYAAAAMM! You got a lot of rules! Personally, if I were looking to get into a band, I'd skip right over your ad.. Waaayyy too wordy and honestly...TMI!

Why don't you just get the people THERE first..that seems to be the hardest nowadays.

You can lay down the rules (personally rules-r-silly) when you finally feel you have the right members for your project.

Even though you want to make a business out of it...IT HAS TO BE FUN! Not fun when one's working with all the "mommy" rules....

You never know what blessings may come in the form of "family" or others associated with a perspective band member.
To assume that a "tag along" would be a detriment, is to make assumption.

Assumption is the mother of all phuck-ups.

Let's make it three as your obviously not listening and remain hung up on assuming family involvement is a bad thing.

Yes it "can" be . . . but wisdom reserves judgement for proof.

You should care, networking is what makes musicians rich and famous.

It's who you know.

blah....blah....blahh... How about :

"Seeking candidates for an all female rock band?"

That's it

The end

All the other bullsh¡t should be discussed after you get people down there and if you feel they would be an asset to the band...

Been on both sides and found out if their/my ads are TMI, then the responses are 0 to nil or, believe it or not, the people responding to something like this aren't as pro as you would hope for..
