The guy is insane.
There is certainly something 'off' with him - asbergers, autism spectrum, or just mental illness.

Plus there's nothing new with all that production style. It will be seen as new because he's mainstream, but the industrial angle has been going for a couple years in hip hop.

There something strangely compelling about most of "blood on the leaves", but the rest is... yeezusss...

I don't pay much attention to pop culture but a friend of mine put a Kanye cd on while I was in his car. I hope I didn't' hurt his feelings but I promised to leap out of the car into traffic if he didn't turn it off!

Might be music as much as banging on hollow logs and chanting nasty sayings can be compared to actual music.
