puts in mind of one of the early clapton Crossroads DVD's. Steve Vai is playing w tony mcalpaine and a cpl of other 7 string pointy gtr shredders, and billy sheehan on bass. and they're all wanking away thru these big ol' stacks....total overprocessed asstone IMO. and then....up next is joe walsh, and he's playing thru some little 1x12 combo amp....and oh man, THERE'S THE TONE!

It certainly could be KISS but I don't know for sure. Some spikey, leather boot, high gain, tap arpeggio, fog machine, flash pot, show.
