Bloomberg threatened legislators to get that gun law. He said that he would run candidates against anyone who did not vote for gun legislation, and that the demoncrap party would not support anyone not voting to pass gun legislation.

It has nothing to do with paranoia. "They" are planning on disarming the American public.
All the legislators, all the legislation, even the UN freely admit it.

Only two kind of people believe in personal disarmament.

Consider re-loading or getting a caliber sized firearm that is no where the govment is going to go. There are new calibers the govment can't buy for a long time that are in stock, that are cheaper, that are more accurate, that have higher magazine capacities, with more knock down. Just don't think "old fashioned standards" and you will stay away from govment prohibitions. The govment works slow. Slower than American Corps. Get a caliber the govment has no excuse to buy. Get a good one. It could be your last. That is why we buy. It does 2 other things- Promotes gun makers to new territory and eliminates competition for your caliber.

I do reload, and my most recent purchase was an M48 Yugoslavian Mauser. ($300.00)
Despite being manufactured in the early 1950's it is structurally in what would probably be considered an NRA Very good to excellent condition.
The 8mm Mauser cartridge with it's .323 " bore, is loaded in the US to SAAMI standards a very low pressure ratings ( equivalent to a 30 -30 Winchester round ) due to concerns that the round could be chambered by the uninformed in older .318 bore pre WWI Mauser rifles ( not metallurgical the equivalence of the WWII and post WW Mauser )

I have a selection of bullets (projectiles) that I will be developing loads for that will meet the European pressure standards and drive the bullets I have chosen into the 2700 - 2800 fps range ( 30-06 equivalent )

As for government purchase . . . it is no longer the main issue with supply as many of the outlets for munitions are again at full stock.
In all the History of firearms, it has been military cartridges, that have found most favor with shooters, and being as demand drives availability up and price down the converse is true. Many of the very good non military / government / NATO associated calibers are available but in lesser quantities and much higher price per round than there present NATO counterparts.

More over, reloading is dependent on the availability of components, and as there are only a handful of different primer configurations for all the various caliber family, at present a very limited supply is available of this critical component.

Fortunately for me when I purchase I do so by the thousands to reduce the overall financial investment over time. And I foresee my suppliers having stock restored long before my need arises again.

America was founded on Godly principles. We have thrown God out of the public squares, we have thrown Him out of the schools, and we have thrown Him out of our lives. We murder the child that God is forming in the womb for convenience even though the child has done nothing. Then we justify our actions through excuses. Our politicians are liars, our media false prophets. Adultery is common, while marriage is scarce. We deny His sovereignty, we hate His instruction, and we curse in the name of His salvation. Our drugs deny the healing ministry of His Christ, and we deny Gods existence in our institutions of "higher learning". We have not taught our children in the way to go. His statutes have been prevented, and His laws scoffed at. We claim God does not exist until someone dies, then we all say that the deceased is at peace in heaven. Yet when we find ourselves in dire straights, we call on this non existent god to save us. We deny wisdom for foolishness and we despise His ways. Then we ask Him to bless America and protect our freedom from evil men that He has appointed to destroy it. Who could not go on endlessly about the ungodliness in America and this world system?

But then if God is a myth, then none of the above truly matters.
