I dare not even comment on how I feel about that.

However, I would hire the best lawyer I could find to sue them. And to make sure he does a good job, I would tell him to keep every penny he gets out of those incompetent jerks.

If I had a dog I'd buy it a bullet proof vest.

I'm not impressed by these freaks - it's become a sort of perversion. Officer safety? Nonsense. All that ridiculous explanation does is make them look like sissies. This is happening a lot - all over the country. if the dogs were really threats - they'd be showing pictures.

When I was with Dyce we had a MD state trooper roust us on a noise complaint and threaten to shoot our singer's dog. He told me, "Restrain your animal or I will destroy it." Little dog. Big cop. Real hero he was.

Serial killers start out with animals. I can see defending yourself against some huge, monstrous dog but these weirdoes shoot puppies and kittens and pretty much seem to like to use their guns. That ain't healthy folks....

How do we know that it was an 'innocent' dog? Maybe it had been up to something.

If it was an innocent dog, at the right house, would it be ok then?

If the officer was at the right house and the dog attacked him, he would have been within his rights to shoot the dog. But trespassing on the dog's property (which is what the officer did, he wasn't even in the right city) means he had no right to destroy the animal.
