The Farleys hired bassist Bob Noxious last night. He did good on his audition last week and really nailed the call back last night. Pete will return to his sound engineer duties, he is quite busy these days. If I remember correctly, Bobby is the 7th Farley bass player in the past 17 years.

7 in 17 yrs, wow. PLANET JAZZ has been at it 21 yrs. our orig keyboardist moved after a cpl of yrs. but the sax/gtr/keys guy, drummer, and myself (on bass...now gtr/vibes) remain.

we've had to cover some gigs w fill-ins over the yrs and we've had a few other musicians come and go....but that core trio remains intact. recently we've officially welcomed another bassist who'd been filling in and helping out when needed into the fold.

Thanks PG! Yes he's quite stoked to be in the band, you can tell he's studied the CDs. It's refreshing to have someone in the band who's geared up to learn and play the tunes, last night was a blast.
