I decided on this last week... Now I can say it....Its been fun hanging on Band mix. 8)

The Peg nonsense...I admit, I purposely instigated that. And as expected, It created a lot of crazy spin. Actually, I think she won!

I gave up my premium member ship, cause i couldn't see paying for time spent on a forum! Now that's all done. As such, I am checking out of Bandmix over the next couple of days. Its been very interesting journey, to say the least.

A lot of good people on here. A lot of excellent musicians.

When I first joined, two years ago (May 2011) , I knew nothing about the subjective aspect of musical tastes by other artists. I knew nothing about being in a band, and i knew nothing about studio work. Bandmix was a cornerstone reference to hash out musical ideas, suggestions and some extraordinary discussions. It has been a perpetual narrative for me.

As i got to know many of you, It has made me a better musician. In two years, I have cut a respectable full length CD, I have obtained musical partners (aka formed my first real band) for which I give thanks to the discussions of strategy offered here. I'm already starting to play around town, ranging from open mics to select venues , who will tolerate me :P
I am looking forward to a playing my first local festival this summer.
I have a whole slew of new material that I'm working on, and I am proud to say, I even have some people interested, at least giving consideration to produce some of it. All this in two years. (Some of you say what you will, But I feel proud of my meager accomplishments :)

That said, this leg of my journey is done. Lot of road left to travel (which i try to reconcile with my day job).

Thanks to many of you, who offered your moral support.

"well she told me last night... she don't love me now more..."

NO MORE.
NO MORE.

Well I looked in the mirror, didn't like what I saw...

NO MORE.
NO MORE.

Well I told her the truth last night, and she screamed...

NO MORE.
NO MORE.
NO MORE,NO MORE, NO MORE...

Just a thought friend.

I mean this in an innocent and honest way, but is PaperDog the moniker dying, and the Phoenix arising from the ashes of the defunct PaperDog, or is the entity that gives life to PaperDog actually leaving this forum?

There is no doubt that Peg won.

Pretty well neutered you with the "PervDog" tag. :P

... but I'd have never guessed, by now, that the shame of it would have you crawling off with your tail between your legs this way. I thought your thick skin protected you from all feelings like shame. But maybe you have reflected, and thought of how some of your interactions here may appear objectively to others .. the spectacle of a 50 year old man, wallowing in these adolescent Bevis and Buttheadisms. One wonders how much good this presentation can be doing for your professional and public image? :?

Hi Paper, you know where I am if you fancy hooking up for a chat sometime.
Be well, remember... Everything is for the best, unless it isn't.

Walking away in shame, I guess. That whole thread was pretty pathetic.

"2 years of learning experience" - don't quit trying to learn, many of us here have decades of experience with bands and recording, etc.

PaperDog, no one wins those kind of goofball flame wars. I regret my participation and allowing it to escalate the way it did. I know that's not why you're leaving as you've said you were already considering it.

Anyway I hope you'll reconsider your exit from here. Either way, best of luck to you.

I've taken a sabbatical or two from BM. My own reasons.
But if you're gone gone... Take care.
And good luck with your music... I've enjoyed it!
If you decide to park your music somewhere else let it be known.
Peace! 8)
