Then it is a good thing I do not use the internet as my source for dating, because they will never come here.

The inept always think the internet is a cure all for what ails. The reality of it is that whatever your issues are, the internet only masks it for a little bit.

I see what you write and I don't mind. (not going to use your name as it's admitting you are worthwhile) Always 2 sides to a story and someone has to be wrong, but I always want to hear both sides and make my own decision after hearing it all. Guess you don't figure it the same.

I always say the best way to get even with people is to live well. And believe me, I am living it up!.

As you can tell this issue has come up for me with some of my former bandmates.

* If you actually learn the songs on your own before coming to rehearsal, I'm really not interested in you. If you also practice your instrument on your own, you're a dweeb, loser and an anti-social moron as well. And you're probably a serial killer anyway.

* If you can remember a song that you've learned for more than two weeks, I'm sorry, I just can't have someone like that in my band. Relearning songs we've learned 30 times already is half the fun

See, the thing is, all the ones I posted are things that have come up for me as well. The two I quoted above, in particular, seem to be a theme. I've had way too many conversations like:

Bandmate: "How did that chord progression go again?"

Me: "We went over this the last three rehearsals. It's G, C, A. One, Four, Five."

Bandmate: "Really? I don't remember that."

Other Bandmate: "He's right, though, we did go over it the last three rehearsals and you didn't remember then."

Bandmate: "I'll remember next time. I didn't get to practice this week."

Me: "I've heard that three weeks running now. You know we have a gig coming up next week?"

Bandmate: "Sure, I'll be ready."

Okaayyyy......

Of course, he wasn't ready.

Point is, no point in getting upset about it now. I find it cathartic to find a little humor in the (past) problems I've had with bandmates.

Looking for rhythm guitar, bass, drummer, vox to start metal/hard rock band in the area here. All I ask is the following:

1. Must have s***ty equipment if possible. If you don't have equipment at this very moment, well that's cool, too. I know you'll get your rig together from the local pawn shops before we rehearse, right?

2. Cannot own or have access to transportation of any kind.....EVER. I can't stress this requirement enough. I actually enjoy going 10, 20, etc., miles out of my way, down roads in the middle of nowhere... where most of Earth's creatures would normally avoid for fear of getting killed, or raped, or worse, to pick everyone in the band up. This way we bond during the time we share and we become a better band. This is how we overcome obstacles like having s***ty or no equipment!

3. Must have a HUGE ego! It doesn't matter if you have any real discernible talent or not, you can play every note perfectly, but you're not going to get your knob slobbered on by some drunk college groupie wannabe if you don't act like you're Jesus F'ing Christ with a guitar in his hands, now are you?

4. Finally, you don't necessarily have to know how to play. This is just clarification of the "It doesn't matter if you have any discernible talent or not" remark, above. Well, I'd at least like a drummer that can sorta play, or at least make a half a***d attempt at it. Anything else, I can probably teach you to play, unless you're retarded or something. In which case, if you have or have access to decent equipment, and you don't require constant supervision, we'll talk!

I am unable/unwilling to play a consistent tempo.

I am looking for a tight, musically accomplished, already established band to back me up, and turn my garbage material into something listenable. New members of my band must already have multiple contacts for recording, touring, and distribution. Arranging skills a must. New band members with any money to spare will be expected to buy me new gear once I destroy what crappy gear I currently own. New band members must be willing to let me take all the credit for any success enjoyed. Also, my band must take the blame for any failures endured. I stayed with them far longer than I should have. Not my proudest moment.

Actually I don't eat the fish I catch, but I do eat lots of fish, particularly sardines and salmon. Ironically I don't eat them for my brain, but for my colon. I had extreme irritable colon problems and do not eat any pork or red meat, or dairy products for that matter. My colon is much better, so I'm able to think more clearly since I don't have to worry about my colon. So I guess in a weird way fish for me is great brain food. (Was that fuc*ed up logic?) I'm glad you liked the music on my profile page. This Thursday at 3:30pm I'm going on a radio station here in Kansas City. It's 90.1 KKFI fm, and I believe they have streaming audio (KKFI.org?), so you might be able to listen to it. I'm participating on their band auction. They play a half hour of our music and listeners call in bids to have us do a 2 hour gig. The winning bidder sends the radio station the money and I get a half hour of air time. Works great for everybody. KKFI is a listener supported radio station. They exist on donations 100% and play a lot of local Kansas City area musicians. One local guy you all should check out is Jerry Dowell (Jerrydowellband.com). I played with him a number of years ago and he's the best songwriter I ever played with. He's got a number of CD's out the last three or four years. Anyway thanks for the responses. Good luck with your musical endeavors. (Shackles and chains! What a great idea.
