I'm not going to stoop to your level... I have never had to receive government aid to put food on my table. Maybe that's why you resent me?
Sorry,... I never finished my college education.

Is that the best you got Jimmy? " f*ck you". You are one angry, screwed up mother. You keep bringing it ALL on to yourself.

Further more Jimmy... On what grounds do you base your accusations that Mr Haley is an "ignorant racist liar" ( by the way there should be commas in between to separate those terms).

Back to the point Jimmy... You keep spewing hatred... That is what achieve.

Yea jimmy I have you on ignore but this thread was just irresistible! Knowing an asshole like you got to reap the benefits of Obummers bad policies just warmed my heart! It sure was peaceful here without you! Sure would be nice if you would crawl back into the shithole you just came from!

Looks nice! I hope it was refreshing for you. That kind of coral washes up on South Beach Miami all the time but I doubt Punta Cana is as weird as south beach, so good call.

Where you thinking about out west? I love Yosemite and Yellowstone, or the canyons of Utah. There is so much awesome beauty in the USA. If you want beach, my favorite is either Virginia Beach or outer banks NC. Destin FL is the nicest beach in the USA (outside of Hawaii) but the jellyfish can swarm sometimes, so I stopped going there. The west coast is pleasing to they eye but too damn cold to swim in!!

The Catskills and Adirondacks are nice if you like camping in mountains. I try to go to Woodstock about once a year. Cool artsy community...but lots of witches.

So what do you like in a vacation? Serenity? Parties? Nature? Beach?

Punta Cana is nice enough, the resort I stayed at was beautiful but doesn't compare to the Royal Valentin where I stayed last year in the Mayan Riviera. If all you want to do is lay around and drink and eat this is your place! I like to visit ruins, hike and look for fossils (I'm an amateur paleontologist and have boxes of them). I'm thinking either Yellowstone or Arizona for my next vacation; I've been to the Grand Canyon but would like to hike down to the river this time. My son moved to Phoenix so now I have another reason.

Well, there ya go!? Nothing like combining a vacation with visiting the kids.

Mayan Riviera sounds really cool...but I'm afraid of Mexico these days.

I've been to the Grand Canyon many times but never went down to the bottom. Never saw it from the north entrance, either, but my son did go to canyon floor and his advice is don't do it if the temperature is over 80 degrees at the top. Evidently there is not much wind and the heat is higher there. If I weren't so old and out of shape, I might try to ride the rapids.

Arizona is really cool though. I like the indian section in the northeast side of the state.

Been to Yellowstone 3 times now, once spent a week there but it covers 1/3 of Wyoming so you'll never get to the end of it. It's cool how buffalo will just walk right by you when you least expect it.

Sorry you had a bad experience with TSA Jimmy. The sequester is an old song that has been played more times than Sweet Home Alabama... punish the regular folk for an absence of leadership and vision in Washington. Not my favorite tune.

I agree with your plans to visit the west. The Grand Canyon hike is fantastic and I recommend staying at Phantom Ranch at the bottom for a couple days to explore. Walking back out is 10 miles straight up and very strenuous for us 50+ coots. A lot of rich Native American history in AZ, UT, CO, NM, WY, MT.

Isn't there a donkey or horse option? Must take all day - which is worse the hike on your legs or the ride on your ass?

You can take the mule train down and back but I prefer to walk. I am reasonably fit for an old trail rat and have bagged a few 11K peaks in the last 10 years. I found the Grand Canyon ascent to be a 10 hour/10 mile walk out with 4500' of elevation gain to be a strenuous but satisfying full day. We were with a large group and took an easy pace in November rain and sleet on a very muddy trail. My mom came with us as she wanted to hike the canyon again for her 75th birthday.

An athletic 20 yr old might walk out in 5 hours when it's dry.

I heard it was over 95 thousand. I'm not happy that one person in control could have actually brought this to a test of the second amendment.

It is really simple... After hitler and stallin divided western Europe... It went down like this... 1939...

70 thousand russian troops died at the hands of 1 thousand Finnish troops protecting their homeland against stallin. They had guns.

Poland,,, 100 thousand troops walked through,,, MURDERING everyone. They had pitchforks, instead of guns.

Guns are not for personal protection in your own personal space. They are to protect against other people that have guns. Until you can take away all the guns, from government ,police and ALL MILITARY... There will always be guns.

Enough said.

You raise a great point about how nations need standing armies and states/regions need a national guard with an available armory.
