...Excellent Post PapeDog ... yet another clear example of how many profess to follow the dictates of some "divine" but manmade belief system ....but fail to take responsibility for themselves, others of the same "faith" and Mankind in general. The eyes of a Musician can be very discerning, just as his ears can be also ... his mind very quick and expansive ... his tongue sharp ... all with universal appeal using the language of music that transcends any religion, political lie, corporate greed or cultural difference.

Combine these traits with intellect, empathy, purpose, ambition and commitment ... then you have one of the highest forms of life upon this physical plane. There are many like you who have or are ReAwakening and beginning to flex their true "Power". All have much to offer and I salute you all even through the fog of disagreement.

Christians have been the most outspoken about the priests violating boys. My dad left the Catholic church over it (thank God!) long ago...and the current Pope is taking the issue head on, no pun intended.


Where is the outcry from muslims about "honor killings" or any of their other barbaric violence against everyone who isn't a muslim, not to mention those who are?

No outcry for 2 reasons: a) they believe in the practice themselves or
B) They are afraid of retribution from their brthren

I always end up back at the spanish inquisition. Just because that religion has been tamed, there's no guarantees that it won't ever happen again. Muslims have been at it for thousands of years. This small blip of tranquility in their history is statistically only temporary. The fundamentalists exist in all religions, and eventually sieze power.

Do I agree with how muslims treat women? Depends on which ones. Muslim religions have as many factions as christian religions, and some are openly violent whereas others are traditionally peaceful.

Imagine if you were a muslim in Iran, and the TV news only showed you those "god hates fags" idiots and for all you know, that was the entire identity of western christian dogma. Or one of the several other christian fundamentalist groups we have.

But no, the evidence shows that jews and christians will police themselves, and oppose their own when they go against the tenets of a righteous God. It was other christians who stood against the Inquisition, for example. They were mostly powerless against a government (Vatican) that claimed to be speaking for the christian god, but that government was opposed by christians from the beginning. It was Christians who worked to end slavery while the rest of America was ambivalent, at best. You can find Christians who supported slavery but they were aggressively opposed by other Christians.

Where is that in the muslim world? Answer: Nowhere, because the "radicals" are completely supported by the Quran and Islamic leaders.

Again I ask the question so many of you keep ignoring.

Where can we find even ONE Islamic nation with an Islamic government that allows freedom of speech? Not to mention freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of anything.

Just not true Kramer. A rational man judges a religion, like anything, but it's own merit, not the merit of it's practitioners.

That's what I did and determined after much study that there are only really two religions: works and grace.

Works (deeds) = Muslim, Hindu everybody - You have to do x,y, and z to please God or you're hosed.

Grace = Christian - God had to do x,y and z or we'd have been hosed.

Spanish inquisition? Dude...A - that was Spain - where not so long ago garroting was the national equivalent of the lethal injection, B -it was a moment in time, a short one, body count = 20k, C - much of it was Spanish nationalism paying off scores subsequent to recent victory and expulsion of Muslim conquerors.

It is remembered with horror by Christians.
